funny how some reviewers talked about the singleplayer and hardly mentioned anything about multiplayer or forgeworld

SilentNegotiator2528d ago

What's so funny about that? Microsoft treats MP like a completely separate issue, why can't reviewers? Do you think EVERYONE with an xbox plays on LIVE? Do you think NO ONE ever plays games by themselves?

palaeomerus2528d ago

So reviewers should be comfortable simply ignore any features that conflict with their personal agendas?

SilentNegotiator2528d ago

Yeah, they personal agendas because they don't play multiplayer.

Loosen up your tin foil hat.

Halo 3 - 94

I'm suprised, better game with worse score. This really shows how overhyped H3 was.

Seijoru2528d ago

I completely agree. Halo 3 was overhyped just like GTA4 and Gears 2.

Or it could be that when games are reviewed, other games in the same genre offering the same gameplay that is released at the time are taken into consideration, for example take Perfect Dark Zero, if that game was to b released now it could get about 50%

Halo 3's multiplayer was a step above anything else on consoles and there is still no PS3 game that can rival Halo 3 in the multiplayer department

Halo 3 was a fantastic game as was Halo ODST. Who cares about meta-critic...it's a severely flawed system.

At the end of the day it's the gamers with there collective wallets that will decide what a games worth. Halo has sold phenomenally well and rightfully so...they are great games that offer great value for there price.

How anyone could complain about a game like Halo Reach that does everything well on top of all the features the game offers, all on a regular DvD is insane. Reach deserves nothing but the highest scores allotted. 99% of the complaints are guys that don't even own a 360 and haven't even played any Halo games...O_o

Has more to with the power and success of the franchise putting the game under a microscope most other games don't go through. Huge games can sometimes garner unrealistic expectations. Also the console was is so heated the media has divided and has picked a side and this sometimes factors in the scoring of games that will hurt their team. Basically with some reviewers they thought Reach/MSFT has no competition so having nothing to match Reach they took it out on the score.
