Capcom Full-Year Sales Hit Lowest Point Since 2005

Today, Capcom reported their financial earnings for the full fiscal year ended on March 31, 2010. Unfortunately for the House of Street Fighter, 2010 was not the best year for the company. Capcom posted net sales of ¥66.8 billion ($779 million), down from ¥91.8 billion ($1.07 billion) from the same period in 2009, and the lowest net sales the company has seen since 2005. Yeah they didn't have too many big releases.

instead of original creative games like Onimusha.

Too many weak-ass games instead of bad-ass games like DMC1 and DMC3.

Devil May Cry emo reboot will sell even less than Devil May Cry 4.

Kewl_Kat2775d ago

OMG a new ominusha would be awesome!

WildArmed2775d ago

Now why dont they release Super Super Street Fighter 4? -.-

SaiyanFury2774d ago

Exactly. Too many bloody western-focused games, not enough Japanese-focused ones. The Onimusha games were awesome, and I'm STILL waiting for Capcom to bring out another great Breath of Fire 3 game. Come on Crapcom, we have western developers to create western style games. Stick to Japanese style ones.

And they will loose more
Will they cut every Prolog and Epilog from a Game, to bring it back as a DLC?
Sorry Capcom this Gen i bought no game from you and will not do it in the future, until you change your policy

Christopher2775d ago

Yeah, that really pisses me off with regard to DR2.

NYC_Gamer2775d ago

too many lackluster games and not enough creative talent

Christopher2775d ago

Capcom severely lacks in talent when it comes to game development, IMHO.

Thats what happens when you fire everyone that created your best games and keep the guy that hasn't brought anything new to the table since Mega Man on the NES and ruin every game he touches.
