Chris Schilling:

Sony's new motion controller, the PlayStation Move, may ostensibly be seen as jumping on Nintendo's bandwagon, though it is anything but. This late entry into the field is no mere imitator – it was in development well before the Nintendo Wii was launched.

PS3 is always at the forefront of technological advances, at least gaming-wise anyway.

Sony may have had the tech in development before Nintendo (even though no one knows for sure since Nintendo never released early development videos), but Sony clearly copied the design of the Wii mote and added a glowing ball at end of it.

cliffbo2144d ago

are you a moron or something how many different ways of making motion sensing controls are the odds are that whoever made a motion controller would of come up with the same rough design difference with the Move is it is more accurate and has a quicker response time than the Wii.

Actually if anything Johnny, it was the opposite. They literally started with a colored ball on the end of a stick. Then they shaped it ergonomically and added the buttons.

Not a bad article, seemed like they even did a bit of research before writing to, which is good.

I am not getting "Move" before any autstanding features are added to it. Maybe Killzone 3 will be good, but I will wait and see.

hatchimatchi2144d ago

I'm gonna get it, I already have Eyepet and RE5: Gold Edition. Plus, the sports games look fun and I wanna play that sorcery game.

dredgewalker2144d ago

I too am interested if Move can be a good controller for fps games since most console fps games don't support keyboard and mouse. I still find the dualshock a little bit awkward and I hope that Move will be a good alternative.

im just waiting to see if MGS Rising gets a move announcement at TGS if so i will be getting one.

callahan092144d ago

I've already got a PSeye, and I pre-ordered a Move controller for 40 bucks, so I feel like I can't go wrong just to acquire one controller and try it out. They are releasing an extensive amount of demos on the store at or near launch so I'll get to use the controller to try out those games, I'll get to use it in the new MAG beta which should be fun, I'll get to try it in the RUSE demo, shortly I'll have my RE5 Gold and Heavy Rain patches and get to use it there, I'll DEFINITELY be using it for LittleBigPlanet 2 where it should make developing levels much more intuitive and simpler to control, I'll be getting echochrome II which just looks plainly brilliant. So I'm not worried about content whatsoever.
