In this screenshot check Videogameszone compared the PS3 to the Xbox 360 version of Vanquish. Click on "see full size" to view the screenshots in original size. Which version looks better?
PS3 version looks a bit sharper, imo.
i just clicked on the link to the page, and without zooming in, i saw the difference right away
I disagree. I think that there is a difference (as there always will be), but it's not enough to say that one is better than the other. It's not like RDR or FFXIII. There are differences in rendering even just between ATI and NVidia. I'm happy with these results.
Fanboys are funny. Judging from these bad screens, they look identical.
What the hells going on with our bubble situation? I guess being real gets your bubbles taken. You can't mute the truth!
Don't know why you got disagrees. The PS3 version does look sharper and has more color.
ps3 version has no screen tearing, superior version.
Looks like they did a good job porting. Well, either that, or I'm not squinting hard enough for the missing shadows or lighting on the corner of the ceiling on PS3/360 :P
And its exactly the same dam game
Yeah but since the article is about screenshot comparison there's nothing wrong if you give your opinion.
why click to a article that literaly says "Vanquish PS3 vs. Xbox 360 HD Screenshot Comparison", then say its "same dam game". people like you make no sence, we know it is. but it's a "...Screenshot Comparison".
Hard to really tell the differences between the two versions.
Looks pretty much identical to me too... If anything there is the slightest detail in contrast, but my tv can change that. I'll buy the cheapest one ;)
They both look good, but my eyes are crap so who knows.
PS3 also has v-sync, while the 360 version lacks it
Maybe for a reason, instead of extra AA. Played the 360 version and it looked fine, no screen tear. The PS3 version looks great too so that's great.
Both versions have 2xMSAA as confirmed by Digital Foundry and the PS3 version employes Triple Buffer as opposed to the Double buffered 360 version hence the thing doesn't tear on the PS3 whereas it loses Vsync on 360 when frame rate dips below 30... Here is the Digital Foundry link... http://www.eurogamer.net/ar... "The key difference seems to be that the Xbox 360 goes for a conventional capped 30FPS, double-buffer approach (losing v-sync when dropping under the target frame-rate in order to maintain fluidity) whereas the PS3 game employs triple-buffering, effectively ensuring that there is not a single torn frame any time during the gameplay experience." "As it is, both demos operate at the same rendering resolution: 1024x720, with 2x multi-sampling anti-aliasing"
I think it depends who is developing :D 360 as a lead or vice versa. If they do know what they are doing then the game is going to pull almost identical result in terms of graphics. Both are great developing platforms. Even that the full use of Cell is not even near and 360 hardware showing its age. Tried the demo. Looks good and plays too but yeah, too fast paced to me. I prefer the good 'old slow paced shoot, run & hide tps-games. Ohh BTW, Reach cant come any sooner <3 -Proud 360 owner
Bubs up for being level-headed. I liked the fast pace on the demo and I really hope that this game succeeds so that we have another new Ip that both console owners can enjoy.
I played the demo on both consoles and the PS3 looks better but nothing to argue over people.
we all know ps3 looks a small bit better. this is a duplicate article.
is this game even hd?
i really don't care cause i'm still getting the ps3 version.
Personally I think the PS3 has richer colours but the Xbox version is ever so slightly sharper. The difference is negligible so who cares. I tried the demo on both consoles and there's hardly any difference.
PS3s a bit darker. Thats it. You can go all technical and crap but they look the same, PS3 a bit darker, Im sure theres a brightness slider in the options to make them identical.
developers learns to their mistakes before, now ps3 is the lead platform for developers, looking forward for Crisis 2 PS3 version and Portal 2 (console versions) rejoice ps3 fanbois lol
PS3 is not the lead platform on all current and coming multiplatforms. Looking forward on Crysis 2 too(360 version ftw!).
your outdated dude, crisis 2 developers already said that ps3 version will be the superior version for the consoles..
XBOX FANBOIS HERE CLICKING THE THUMBS DOWN BUTTON FOR THOSE HAVE POSITIVE COMMENTS ON THE PS3!?.. DAMN THATS SO ANNOYING, XBOTX FANS DON'T BELIEVE THAT VANQUISH VERSION IS INFERIOR TO THEIR CONSOLE.. f*** That!
if this game was a Ps3 exclusive it will walk all over xbox360 exclusives which dont even run at hd 720p graphics. lol
why would i get that version when i can just get the ps3 version silly.
Honestly both consoles were identical, but ps3 is a bit sharper.. xbox is a bit blurry..
Yep, PS3's defferently darker, sharper and has better lighting/shadowing now Q about it.
The ps3 does have better lighting. Look at the light emitting from the suit, the 360's lights isn't as vibrant
I can't tell the difference anymore. Good job Platinum.
im just surprised that it actually lookt decent on ps3,i think it could look alot better but multiplatform games seem not to do justice on ps3 unless its an exclusive.
I cant get to the pics, anyone have a direct or alternate link? Thanks!
doesn't work anymore!! some one please with a direct link??
Ill probably be getting it on the PS3. I like to keep my "Asian games" on my "Asian console".
Haven't played the 360 version but played the ps3 demo. Was skeptical cus of bayonetta (which i did play on the 360) but can safely say the ps3 version seems fine to me. Perhaps if people pixel count they might find differences but the ps3 version looks good and plays good
I think that developers are using PS3 as lead now because they know that once they produce the games on the PS3 they can easily and quickly port it to 360 and lose nothing in the code translation. MS tools are proven. PS3 needs specialized resource. It's been shown time and again that ports from 360 to PS3 don't compare well graphically. The PS3 needs to be programmed with it's unique capabilities in mind and then it's relatively simple to get a good looking approximation of the engine quickly running on the 360.
Dude, Platinum is developing both versions in-house this time. The way it looks, it's hardly a "port" job on either side. How are MS tools "proven?" Because ports aren't as good as the original? That's just a platitude - ports are typically inferior no matter what, unless a great amount of staff time and resources are poured into a new "revised" version. I have some issues with a port that got a lot of attention - Skies of Arcadia Legends had a lot of problems compared to the original Dreamcast version. Sounds were compressed and tinny. Does that mean Gamecube was less powerful for sound? Nope. It means they didn't invest the staff time (and money to support that time) into making a pitch-perfect port. It all comes back to developer buy-in. They'll put the lead system on what will sell better, typically, but Platinum, which already knows its way around the 360 due to Bayonetta, selected to develop both in-house - they invested time and money into both versions. If they didn't care about a system as much (as in Bayonetta's case), the port will be inferior. It's all up to them.
This picture collection just isn't very good. They're comparing motion blur half of the time, and positioning isn't completely the same... which means that things like lighting won't be completely the same either. I think the 3rd shot (in the tunnel) is a pretty good one to compare by, but I'd much rather check the earlier Digital Foundry article about this than this collection.
They look exactly the same. No real noticeable difference to me.
I was too busy blowing shit up and rocketting in and out of cover trying to blow said shit up.
not because its better looking or anything silly like that (both versions look fantastic.) just because i prefer that controller. platinum really has shown thier talent, being able to make the two so close on radically different hardware. really looking forward to playing it, and thanks to mikami and team for making no compromises.
Oh god I can't put up with that crappy site, just tell me which one wins.
You can easily see that the PS3 version has more colour and is more sharp than the 360 version. FACT!
They both seemed blury to me. I don't know why. I could see one or the other being blurry, but not both. I'm holding out and hoping for a pc version.
They look the same to me, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Looks almost identical but the PS3 version has a slight edge in crispness...
dont see a diffrence but who cares this game sux
