Wii 4.3 firmware update released

Nintendo has released a new firmware update for the Wii, which is now at 4.3.

It'd be nice if Nintendo put out some more useful updates. The last big one we saw was the SD card support... And that should have been there from the start honestly.

Sony and Microsoft provide better updates than Nintendo does for the Wii. In fact, I don't believe we've even seen a new channel in at least a year. And personally, a lot of channels are useless even though the menu system has potential.

Agreed. If there's one thing (well actually 2) I can give Microsoft credit for, it's for their actually awesome updates (and marketing). The Wii hasn't had an improvement in what seems like years, and I don't even remember when the last channel was released. Get on your shit Nintendo.

I think it's funny that all these Wiis are collecting dust while some of the best games for this system have been released (and will continue to be released) This year! Tatsunoko vs. Capcom came out this year. Have you ever heard of it? It's quite an amazing little gem. Monster Hunter Tri, extremely good game. Mario Galaxy 2? C'mon! Just to name a couple... If writting down twelve numbers is killin' your fun. Maybe you're not fun. Lol. I could probably throw away every game I own and just play the fifty four virtual console games I own. For months at least. I wonder if the 3ds will utilize friend codes? That being said the internet browser on the Wii really needs a significant update. Unless next year is when Nintendo will release their eigthth generation home video game console. Then there wouldn't be any real need for one.

you're right, because like stated above...wii firmware updates haven't done anything...in a long ass while. Nothing new to add for the consumer. But of course, nintendo doesn't care, why? because everyone will keep buying the wiis, so why change it?

Not going to happen. First party titles are almost always full retail price. See, Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Punch-Out!!, ect.
