IGN: H.A.W.X. 2 Review

H.A.W.X. 2 is a difficult game to assign a score to, because in effect, it's a pair of experiences. If you're a controller-packing player looking for a fun action game, H.A.W.X. 2 is coming out at the worst possible time, as there are far more interesting action titles on the way. But, if you're into flying games enough to own a flight stick peripheral, then you just might owe it to yourself to check out H.A.W.X. 2's bizarre combination of arcade combat with sim elements.

Its performance killed it, because it was maxing out the PS2's hardware.

HAWX has sucked ass as a product and a concept.

Killzone sucked, Killzone 2 didn't. Sequels are meant to be better in as many ways as possible then the first, killzone proved it, H.A.W.X. 2 didn't.

The ace combat series was one of the few games that I absolutely loved in my childhood. I was completely devastated to hear AC6 went to 360 a couple months after I got the ps3.

Ya I saw them. It also has this close in combat system which look sick. The Graphics are great as well. And same. AC is not and never will be a Xbox game. I remember playing AC since the PS1 days when it was called Air Combat.

Ya I noticed that. Also the PS3 verson had the you tube feature which was nice, not sure if HAWX 2 does. Also the game is only 49.99 not the full 60$

Over g fighters and ace combat 6 are fantastic hawx one was great co op but thats about it.

I liked the first one, and I liked the demo for the second. I may pick it up when it goes down in price. The game did get frustrating though, trying to fuel that plane in mid-air. Also, landing is a bitch.

I didn't like the looks of HAWX 2 to be honest sorry. I am going for Ace Combat: Assault Horizon when it comes out
