Features: Why Not Create a Fitness RPG?

Some games are marketed purely on the level of their physical exertion and its benefits others shy away from the idea.

make a game about this?

no!!!! i mean a game like this would basically be GTA SA with CJ getting bigger/smaller according to what you eat, and how often you excercise.

theroadtoruin2652d ago

that would be the lamest rpg in existence

That's almost as rare a game as a fitness RPG this gen (unless you own a PSP or DS).

Also, this does sound like a great idea, if executed properly.

Because it sounds retarded.

There are odd games out there which have proven oddly interesting/successful. See: Typing of the Dead. If it had great production values, story, dialogue and music, there really shouldn't be a reason an RPG couldn't be a fitness game if the combat is designed cleverly around it. Hell, I came up with a musical themed RPG idea where combat was played with a Rock Band type of controller.

"YOU MUST RESCUE THE PRINCESS BY LIFTING WEIGHTS AND EATING HEALTHY FOOD!1!11111!!!!111!!"

Yea, how about no.

EDIT: "YOU HAVE PUMPED AN EPIC AMOUNT OF IRON, 10 EXP GAINED!11!!!!!!11!1 BUT I'M SORRY, THE PRINCESS IS IN ANOTHER GYM..."
