Kung Fu Live Is The Best Kinect Game On PlayStation 3

Kotaku: When you play Kung Fu Live, a game not for the Xbox 360, your body is the controller. This is a game for PlayStation 3, not for Microsoft's controller-free Kinect. Yet the effect is impressive, similar and enjoyably ridiculous

The story is too old to be commented.

Actually it looks really dumb. I am not spending $60 on this.

Cloudberry2993d ago (Edited 2993d ago )

Kung Fu Live is $15 & PlayStation Eye exclusive (yet?).

smoothdude2993d ago

Haha, I didn't know it was a downloadable game. I still won't get it though, but it is nice to know that the PS3 Eye is more powerful than Kinect. Take that Micro$oft

goldensfree2993d ago (Edited 2993d ago )

looks just like a kinect game with better graphics and it works...

8-bit2993d ago (Edited 2993d ago )

I think it looks sweet. Just as embarrassing to play as Kinect but you can do a lot of moves and it looks fun to play. Also just a kick in the face to those who say that the PSeye can't do what Kinect can. I think Sony will do more of these augmented reality type of games and even controller less just to prove the variety that it has over Kinect.

Move + PSeye = Controller/Controller less gaming
Kinect = Controller less/Button less/Rails

Omega4 is scared.

Chubear2993d ago (Edited 2993d ago )

These kinds of games have been on the Playstation library since PS2 era. Kinect games can be found being better on PS2 eyetoy library.

Funny how PS3 has been doing this kind of controllerless gaming since year one with up to 4 unique titles but back then those that support kinitic now never gave a damn about games like Creature Feature or Topoq and those show more gameplay and gaming challenge than anything shown for kinect 5yrs later.

If ms had a game just as good as this for kinect they would charge $50 for it and supporters will still buy it and call it unique innovation. The crap that people support and take from ms this gen all in the name of winning is staggering

As a whole, I don't like these new motion controllers, but even so, this is not the best Move game that is out. Sorcery definitely is better in a lot of ways.

"The best PS3 game is like a Kinect game"

Your "enthusiasm" is a thinly-veiled attempt to suggest full-body motion-controlled games to being better than move-centered games is less than admirable.

Even if I haven't seen Sorcery, I wouldn't have agreed with that statement.

All that statement does is try to attempt to say is:

"if this is the best PS3 game, and it's like a kinect game, wouldn't kincect games be better?"

Just go doctor some more clips, Kotaku: leave the writing to writers.

fishd2993d ago

It Only Does Everything

Heartnet2993d ago

This game is not for the move ^^ it could be i suppose but its just the pseye :P

SilentNegotiator2993d ago

That's better than ANYTHING on Kinect...

Shani2992d ago

wow.. I was going to get it even if it was $60..
but for $15.. I would pre-order it right away...
too bad you can't pre-order on PSN.. :D

PirateThom2993d ago

That's alright then, because Sony don't see it as a $60 game either, hence why it's a downloadable title.

Scotland-The-Brave2993d ago

He did not say that the $15 game was bad

Godmars2902993d ago (Edited 2993d ago )

Aren't Move specific titles $40 where Kinect will be $50?

Though really, I'd rather see a "lightgun" game with $60 worth of production than something cheaper.

I mean, imagine 8 Days to Vegas as an on rails shooter.

I know. If Sony had put more support behind the Eye, games like this would have been out sooner.

And more than likely, without all this crap over motion control, Wii and Kinect, no one would have been paying it any attention.

ALFAxD_CENTAURO2993d ago (Edited 2993d ago )

This is a PS Eye game, not PS Move game.

marinelife92993d ago

I'm definitely playing this with my nerf ninja sword.

madpuppy2993d ago

Of fat guys in their underwear playing this game.

it does look like the best of the kinect launch lineup and its only $15 on psn.

Omega42993d ago (Edited 2993d ago )

Nice 2D tracking....

@Fishy Fingers
Obviously it looks the most fun its on the PS3 >_>

Fishy Fingers2993d ago (Edited 2993d ago )

Yup, but the funny thing is, this looks like the most enjoyable full body motion control game coming (as of now) and it's 2D and requires a £20 camera.

By, most enjoyable, I imagine for 20 minutes or so. Then I'll have my pad back please :)

8-bit2993d ago (Edited 2993d ago )

Omega, Please defend this video! I am dying to hear what you have to say about it!!

Move + PSeye = Controller/Controller less gaming
Kinect = Controller less/Button less/Rails

DatNJDom812993d ago

damn that avatar is having a fucking siezure. and look at the restless leg syndome. fuck kinect is so whack.

uisce2993d ago

pity Kinect can't do it

fr0sty2993d ago

Nice damage control. at least it can get this right, unlike kinect. you don't see them flailing around in impossible positions on screen, lagging, or otherwise just not being picked up at all.

claterz2993d ago

Same can be said about Move, It can do 3D tracking but Wii can't, but you still call it a Wii clone, hypocrite.

funny as shit,.. because its truth,..

Cloudberry2993d ago (Edited 2993d ago )

In my opinion, it looks great.

Really great.

The player's actions mimicked just like in the game, but I was more impressed about how simple the actions would performed.

Like that jumping back-flip.

The guy's obviously didn't do a 100% back flip, but the game & PlayStation Eye caught the guy's simple body gesture of back flipping (?) & it works.
