LA Noire: A new hit for Rockstar?

Amanda Heritage from Coregamer discusses: Combined with the drugs, jazz, and corruption of the 40′s, Team Bondi and Rockstar have teamed up together in the greatest way possible to give us third-person gamers, everything we want from a heart-racing plot to visually striking graphics in their new game, L.A. Noire.

Set in 1940′s Los Angeles, California, you star as Cole Phelps who works as a beat-up cop just trying to do his job. Using interrogation interviews, notes, and evidence, it’s your duty to solve some of the most gruesome murders in history.

While Rockstar is a tight-knit company that doesn’t like to spill their guts about their games before sales, they did give us gamers something to look forward to

Yeah, people seem to love this game even though they haven't shown a thing about it. I'm skeptical. I think it'll be just like every Rockstar game, an open world buggy mess where you drive around and run people over. It's fun for a while but I think I'll pass on this one.

You could very well be right, but let's hope you're not.

RDR was a great game from RS, better than GTA4 in my book.

LA Noir is another Sandbox game but it's in a different setting, and developed by Team Bondi, from what I know it will emphasis detective work, and it will use new face animation tech.

From all of this info I don’t think it will be another GTA clone, I'm looking forward to it.

Hey, you're missing out. In fact, you probably miss out on a lot things by simply judging each book by its cover. Way to write off a game that hasn't even been previewed yet.

DaTruth2660d ago

They need to shut up about games until they're close to release. Waiting this long for a game is stupid!

Hydrolex2660d ago

you talk about how people love this game without seeing ANYTHING about it but then you pass on the game without SEEING A THING ?

Yep, that's what I call an idiot

someone put that in Urbandictionary

orange-skittle2660d ago

but your opinion on open world games is child-like. You cant be serious to assume that is all you do in open world games because I can name non sandbox games where you can "run people over."

Do you run people over in Red Dead Redemption?

Grow the f*ck up

"I think it'll be just like every Rockstar game, an open world buggy mess where you drive around and run people over."

Sounds like you hate it even though they haven't shown a thing about it.

I think that you should be a little more optimistic about this title Darkfiber. There was a cover story in the # 203 issue of Gameinformer that shed some good light on the title. I immediately thought of Heavy Rain more so than GTA while reading it. I am looking forward to the game personally.

Well if RockStar is a part of this....YOu no you can expect something good.

comp_ali2660d ago

you mean , if it is a Rockstar game then expect to be overrated .

Zachmo1822660d ago

Overrated or not its going to be a quality game.

Nate-Dog2660d ago

Honestly I haven't looked much into this, but I know a few people interested in it and maybe once a bit more news appears on it I might become more interested.

Acquiesce2660d ago

suggests that it'll be like Heavy Rain but 100 times larger in scope...which gets me buckling at the knees.

Immersion folks; it's gonna be like playing a noir.
