Io Interactive's sequel to the 2007 third person shooter has some style, but it sure does lack substance. 'Kane & Lynch: Dead Men was a game that had many issues with when we reviewed it. The gun play was terrible, the controls were unresponsive, and more importantly the second half of the game was just ill-fitting and downright brutal. The one thing I did enjoy was the story, taking huge cues from the movie Heat and creating a story that felt just interesting enough that it kept me going throughout the game. It’s now two and a half years later, and Io Interactive give us Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, a sequel which on the face of it, seems to have learned a lot of lessons from its predecessor, but dig a little deeper, and the paint gets a little crusty.'
