Sony has to many mascots...Ratchet and Clank, Sly, Jack and Dexter, Sackboy, Kratos

Baka-akaB3000d ago

that's because they never had any mascots .

Sega and nintendo do or did .

Nintendo has Mario, Link, Samus.

And Microsoft has well... Master Chief, ...and Marcus Fenix?

Sony started with Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. Those franchises have since gone multiplatform and are no longer associated with the PS brand as much. There's Solid Snake too I guess.

With PS2 came Ratchet & Clank, Kratos, Jak & Daxter. And since then the brand has gained so many flagship series that it's hard to pin down a single mascot.

Right now I would say it's between Nathan Drake, Kratos, Ratchet & Clank, Sackboy, Snake.

Just goes to show how far PlayStation has come as a brand.

I could assume new "mascots" / characters = new IPs, which is great, in my opinion.

better than recycling the same old characters *cough mario & master chief cough*
