Treyarch: Multiplayer is critical to COD success

Studio boss champions online modes as new features are unveiled to broaden series’ appeal

Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia has declared online deathmatches are key to the strength to the Call Of Duty series.

Speaking to MCV at Activision’s multiplayer reveal in Los Angeles, he claimed “multiplayer is critical to [the franchise’s] success” and that Treyarch has “never been more fired up” to deliver this experience with Call Of Duty: Black Ops.

That's why the made combat training with bots, for people like you that despise the MP. Which I think is great because once people start abusing shit in the game I can always play with bots to have some fun. I honestly had no intentions on buying this game, even after the first MP trailer, but with all this new info and how Treyarch is approaching the game, I really want to get it. I've always liked Treyarch better, and even though I hate WW2 games, WaW was my favorite COD.

Thats what i'm gonna get pissed at the game, which is inevitable.

I used to play against bots on KIllzone 2 because i sucked at multiplayer, and you automatically have all the unlocks, >_>
