UK CHARTS: July 2010

Dominic Sacco breaks down the data for game sales in July.

Summer is traditionally the most quiet trading period in the games industry, and last month was no different, with sales down 13 per cent compared to July 2009.

But it wasn’t all doom and gloom – Harry Potter: Years 1-4 enjoyed a place at the top and gave Warner Bros a boost, while Red Dead Redemption continued to provide strong sales for Take-Two. (LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, Nintendo DS, PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360)
