Start Your Engines: Golden Joystick Awards Racing Game of the Year Lineup!

2010 has been a good year for Racing Game enthusiasts. Not only have some great sim/realism style racers come out, but we have actually had quite a few good arcade racers released as well, and even some Kart racers. This year looks like there is a lot of competition for the upcoming 28th annual Golden Joystick Awards. This year there is something for everyone, though it should be noted that there is at least one glaring omission from this years nominees. This years list of Nominees is still a great lineup of racers. In this article we will look at the titles nominated and even get a video intro for each. (EA, Forza Motorsport 3, Gran Turismo, iPad, iPhone, Nintendo DS, PC, PS3, PSP, Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing, Wii, WipEout HD: Fury, Xbox 360)

Zombie isn't a racing game, and Fury is an expansion, yet both made it in when Blur and Gran Turismo 5 didn't even get mentioned. When I wrote the article I tried to stay away from what I think about the selection as it makes no sense to me on what games actually made it in. Crazy...
