VideoGamer.com writes "Every game has the "opportunity to offend somebody" but no one is being forced to play something they don't like, Treyarch community manager Josh Olin told VideoGamer.com at gamescom last week.
Asked about the possibility of Black Ops' Cold War setting causing offence, Olin said: "There's always an opportunity to offend somebody - there's always somebody who is offended by our games, whether it's making a game where you kill imperial Japanese soldiers or you're making a game where Russian soldiers are dying. Any era has this potential to offend somebody."
The video on Black Ops 1 shows some separate rooms, assets, and other features which exist outside of the boundary of the game.
From DownSights: "Black Ops is not Black Ops without Nuketown. Following the tradition of releasing Nuketown for Black Ops games, the new Black Ops Cold War game also offers a revamped Nuketown called Nuketown '84.
Nuketown '84 has the same dimensions and map layout except for the aesthetics. The map's aesthetics have changed to fit the 80s theme, with destroyed buildings and graffiti-filled walls compared to a clean 50s suburban neighborhood seen in Black Ops 1."
Jacob writes: "What do we have with the original Call of Duty: Black Ops? Quite simply, one of the best Call of Duty titles of all time."
Can we all shut up about this crap already?
...that is if they don't ban it.
Trust me. I won't.
LOL! Sounds to me like Activision are jealous of all the attention EA are getting... i've not heard a single complaint about Black Ops setting. And for the record, I won't be playing it.. i'll be on halo reach and if for whatever reason it turns out to be worth getting, that's what second hand shops are for!
activision & their developers need to shut the hell up....i 4 1 wont be buying their games,i cant wait until Killzone 3 Beta starts. ;)
