AppVee: Top Gun 2 Review

AppVee: Top Gun is still arguably one of Tom Cruise’s most recognizable movies and definitely set the standard for air combat movies. The movie is known for it’s high speed combat and story of friendship, love, and sacrifice. There was an app released for iPhones and we reviewed it with all of its shortcomings but now there is a sequel. Top Gun 2 for the iPhone and iPod Touch is a re-imagining of the first game and basically improves on every part of the experience.

148apps: Top Gun 2 is the rockin 80’s sequel to the fantastic Top Gun app that came out long ago. For those of you that played the last game, this one has way more stuff going on, including more planes to choose, more weapons to use, and a heck of a lot more enemies.

Top Gun 2 iPhone review from Gamedot

"Whilst the presentation seems to be 80’s inspired, I fear it’s from laziness rather than design. The original iPhone game had 10 missions, this only has 7. And with only three jets to choose from, and gameplay that is recycled mission after mission until the last is inexcusable from the same studio that brought us its predecessor."
