Ok, that looks awesome. Really want this game now!

lociefer3035d ago

lol imagine launching some1 into the infinite jump and leaving the game

DNAgent3035d ago

Implying that the other person doesn't have a portal gun of their own.

One person will control the blue portal and the other will control the orange portal.

Mc Fadge3035d ago

It seems that one person has two slightly different blue colours, and the other will have two different orange portals.

But there'll probably be a mode where you control one portal each, no doubt

Just watched the GTTV special on Portal 2 and I'm really hyped for this game even more now
- Steam Updates on PS3
- New Gel stuff
- Maybe Cross system play between PS3 and PC
- Co-op just as long as Singleplayer with no reused test chambers
All This may have already been announced but this is the only news I've Read or Seen since E3

SeanRL3035d ago (Edited 3035d ago )

Cross system play would be awesome, though console players would be at a distinct disadvantage. It would be nice to play with the PC community.

Edit: Lol I knew the console players comment would get me a disagree. At least reply man.

Faztkiller3035d ago

Well it's not like its competitive anyway so any disadvantage wouldn't really be a problem or I wouldn't think so

BTW I didn't disagree

SeanRL3035d ago (Edited 3035d ago )

Lol well thank you for not disagreeing. It's not that the console player would be at a competitive disadvantage, but PC players are much faster with a mouse and keyboard. It's nothing you couldn't live with, really, just a small problem.

DNAgent, they would be at a speed disadvantage, console players are fast and good at aiming, but they can't beat a mouse and keyboard.

DNAgent3035d ago

Disadvantage to what? The game is co-op, not versus. The only disadvantage would be if you can't aim correctly and that disadvantage could be on any platform but the average player knows how to control his/her aim.

NarooN3035d ago

PS3 has full keyboard/mouse support. All Valve would have to do is implement that and there won't be any disadvantage. I played and beat Portal on both the PC and PS3 with a normal DualShock 3 and I had no issues with aiming.

Steam updates on PS3 are just win.

saint_john_paul_ii3035d ago

i wonder whether or not steam will either be built into the system or it will just be on the disc.

ActionBastard3035d ago (Edited 3035d ago )

I'm thinking it will be a part of the game data that's potentially installed. I'm just glad they're doing it.

TheIneffableBob3035d ago

It's the Steamworks API, not the Steam DD system. It's built into the game like how it's built into Modern Warfare 2, Empire: Total War, Mafia II, etc.

That was amaaaaazing.
Those characters reminded me of :
Although I kinda don't like the way they represented the Weighted Companion Cube. :(
I <3 the Companion Cube :(

ambientFLIER3035d ago (Edited 3035d ago )

Portal 2 has me more excited than any other game out there so far...well, except Reach and GT5, of course.

StarScream4Ever3035d ago

Anyone else thought of the M&Ms characters? :)
