Gamescom: BioShock Infinite Wins IGN's Game of Show

BioShock Infinite, Irrational Games' first person shooter that was announced a mere week ago, has won IGN's Gamescom Game of the Show Award.

Irrational's Ken Levine was on hand to pick up the award, the first that BioShock Infinite has received. "It's a surprise," Levine said, "We're a week old and we've got our first award so thank you."

especially for a game for which no gameplay was even shown and is still 2 years away.

edit:nvm i guess the game was actually being shown on the show floor.

There was a playable demo. Looks to be like a good game I hope the story is as good as Bioshock.

It's not shocking, we all knew IGN wouldn't pick a PS3 title even though there were many better than Bioshock. The general rule these last few years for website biased towards the 360, is to pick a multiplatform title for these type of awards, since the 360 has no standout exclusives that aren't more of the same.
