LittleBigPlanet 2’s Logic Capabilities are Insane

PSLS: "It’s no secret that the original LittleBigPlanet set the bar for complex user creations, with gamers going as far as creating working calculators out of complex levers and pulley systems. However, it appears that LittleBigPlanet 2 is aiming to make its predecessor look like child’s play compared to the complex creations capable in the game’s latest iteration. We’re talking fully-functional computer processors and displays!"

It would be funny if someone created a complete CPU or GPU... or a program that calculates more complex mathematical proceedures like linear equations etc.

Heck, I guess anything's possible in the world of LittleBigPlanet. But man, I was completely astounded by this, I mean, this is pretty much 11 o'clock news worthy.

"Tonight, a new video game that actually helps to improve the creative stimuli in children's brains while they have fun in the process."

I mean seriously, LittleBigPlanet 2 could be inadvertently breeding a generation of Einsteins!

are the "inception" of gaming

Quagmire2674d ago (Edited 2674d ago )

1: "We're building a game within a game"
2: "What next?"
1: "We need to go deeper"
2: "You mean a game within a game...within a game?"
1: "You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling"

NJShadow2674d ago

Wow dude, that last line of your comment should TOTALLY be the new slogan for LittleBigPlanet 2!

You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling... LittleBigPlanet 2.

This is going to be really interesting to use. I wish I had these tools in lbp at the moment. I'm trying to recreate that Simon Says toy in lbp, where you copy the colour beeps and memorise it. And the logic required behind it is melting my brain. So difficult. From the sound of it, lbp2's logic sounds like it will help alot

I think MM must have either acquired the services or already have PHD guys in their team! This looks insane!

A quick question. How can I edit my comments? I mean, I can edit my comment after I post it but after a few hours, I can't seem to find the option!?

ambientFLIER2674d ago

You can't. The option disappears after a set period of time.

in lbp and make my own ps3 games that run on it.

T9X692674d ago

This really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who's played the first game. The first game blew my mind countless amounts of times by seeing what people can do.

HeroXIV2674d ago

Totally agree. I'm a little jealous I could never create something like that in the first one (try the Dead Space or the Star Wars levels... just mind blowing). But this one, the tools are so refined I should be able to at least make something decent. :)

Theonik2674d ago

With the new tools i wouldn't be surprised if the same kind of people that made the Lbp calculator gave us a virtual NES or something along those lines. The possibilities are endless. (and yes still within certain boundaries)

darkdoom30002674d ago

wow, this is amusing. Thoes logic gates is what I'm currently doing in my Comp paper at uni.

I've been recreating Uncharted:Drake's Fortune. I've finish 4/5 parts of it. I know how innoying it is to make logic in the game. You had combine objects and whatnot.

kneon2674d ago

I feel a game coming on ...

How about a LPB2 game in which you are trapped in the computer and you have to solve various logic puzzles by rearranging the logic gates. Maybe that squirt gun they've shown could even be used to connect the various gates.

DigitalAnalog2674d ago

Or a custom made "OS" for the world to tinker with.

Oh, HOW I wish to see it.
