This has been an exciting week for MAG, and we’re continuing that momentum today with a closer look at the improved character customization that’s debuting in our new MAG Beta program starting August 24.
Sickness! This is better than I anticipated.
Move Support is confirmed. New Mode of 3 Factions in 1 map, 32 vs 32 vs 32. Better Character Customization. MAG is getting better and better. Best ''Tactical'' Online FPS.
Damn, time to play MAG again. I've been playing BC2 on PC as a stupid mad bomber. You know, follow teammates that are hiding and blow their buildings up... I like where MAG is heading. See you guys there. SVER ftw!
Never doubt zipper, i cant wait to see this
Everything looks so awesome but very confusing at the same time.I can't wait to see what it's all like.
Character customization needs to be a standard multiplayer game feature. The only thing better than playing a good game is playing a good game with your own identity. Player count means nothing to me, but this 32 versus 32 versus 32 sounds fun. I might have to pick MAG up when I eventually get a PS3.
new beta, is it open to all ? first I heard...
Beta for people who own the game already. Available on the 24th of August.
So glad I ordered this. Pretty excited to play with all the fixes and additions.
Wow... I don't have MAG (I was in the pre-release beta and liked it though), but that sounds like a huge improvement over the old skill system.
I accidently deleted my MAG character. Is there anyway to get it back?
Not as far as I know. I deleted mine as I'm a Raven at heart, but I vetted into SVER to work on the plat trophy... lets just say starting from lvl 1 after being 60, then 32 is a little painful. Yet I needed to get back to my real PMC asap... that and I felt so ashamed of myself for becoming a "mutt". Raven - giving Valories and Mutts nightmares since Day1.
Nope, because that means you deleted your character off their servers.
This is frickin awesome, definately looking forward to this.
Is it just me or have we all been put up to 5 bubbles? on topic: Im going to buy this game tomorrow
It seems so, I wonder why that is?
Can anybody tell me how strong the MAG community is? I've grown tired of Bad Company 2,MW 2,& Killzone 2's multiplayer is too easy.So I'm thiking about getting MAG.
When I played it a while back I thought it had a pretty strong community. At first you could tell there were some Modern Warfare people playing due to nothing ever getting done, but after they realized they sucked at MAG they quit. So I'd say the majority were real hardcore gamers. But I really don't know how many are playing now...I'd say not too many because of Call of duty and Battlefield.
I've been playing since the BETA and while the numbers have dwindled over all I think the numbers you have left tend to be the more hardcore guys that are truly playing for the team aspect. Don't get me wrong, there are your lone wolfs that try to do stuff on their own but it just doesn't work in MAG. I find the hardest time to get a "directives" game, which is where the system puts you in a game mode it chooses, is around like 3am and the numbers are low. That being said I can jump into a game I choose fairly quickly. This new update, and the added MOVE support is only going to increase the player base tho and thats awesome. Definately a good purchase.
Is recommended that you get a Mic and Join with a Clan. Is more tactical than BC2.
It's strong as ever. Like Socom, those left playing atm are serious about the game.
I don't understand. It's a beta for a game already released? Looks awesome nonetheless. I really need to pick this game up soon.
yes this confused me to,hopefully somebody knowledgeable can answer this question for us.
It's a beta to smooth out the systems they're putting in, to test the maps, to test the servers and to test the new mode. The MAG fanbase is really vocal about changes, Zipper don't just put ANYTHING in and just move along. They're really dedicated to pleasing their fans. A bit like how there is a Counter Strike Source beta. The game is out, but there are modes and options that need refining before you give it to the people who love the game so much.
They are beta testing these features to help them balance everything out. If they did internal testing it would take them a long time before everything is able to get released. While doing it this way allows them to find out any bugs or anything unbalanced quicker and get it fully out and then work on more stuff.
wow, this is awesome.
woot,got to do that.
I plan on buying MAG soon, never got around to it when it first launched. These improvements they're making seem great, it'll be nice to jump into a more refined experience.
Yeah, it will be. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to learn the ins and outs of the game tho because at first its very overwhelming. Find a group to play with as being on a team makes this game 100x better.
Good decision Nasseh.
Awesome, I must start play MAG again after a little brake... I'm only lvl 5 SVER :( Buhu!
I got disagrees when I said that the update in patch 1.07 that allowed for smaller patch sizes meant that we were going to get some big updates...but this just proves my point :). They're making a lot of great changes here and I'll be enjoying the beta next week :D. (my last week of summer :'(..)
I havent been into MAG in awhile, but with the new beta Ill be back into it and also being playing the full game a lot more often as well. One of the things I hated was the upgrade system so Im glad to see they will be changing it.
Holly Crap, this new system sound much much much better than the old one. Can't wait to have my hand on it :D
I need to buy MAG again ASAP... this is sweet.
2 see a lot of you join mag agian...the game is pretty even now c...the domo and raven is on top last i checked
Same, even though I'm VALOR.
awesome! great job to zipper for continuing the major support for mag!
I honestly think most of the reviewers who scored this game back in January should do a re-review, because their comments don't even remotely apply to the game that you can go out and buy/play today.
Tough to present something new to the COD mindset.
still men only though i bet.
