"Of what I played of Lara's bite-size digital trial, Guardian of Light looks to be the most enticing XBLA game of the year thus far."

I agree with you there. I was blown away. It's probably the best looking as well, from a technical standpoint. Only Shadow Complex can rival it really. The environments are extremely detailed, and a cool detail is how you can see areas you just visited from afar when you go up stairs.

The gameplay is phenomenal. Controls are really good, the combat is also very good, and the puzzles and overall level design just had me hooked from start to finish(of the trial). I didn't expect it to be this good.

I played it in single player and never felt as if it was 'supposed' to be played in co-op, although that might be even better. It kind of reminded me of Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance, but with puzzles and platforming. There seems to be lots of power-ups, relics and weapons to collect and it all felt RPG-ish in a good way.

I've already bought Limbo and Monday Night Fight Club this month and I'm don't think I will be able to keep myself from buying this. Does anyone know if Castlevania is part of the Summer of Live campaign? If not I'm getting Hydro Thunder as well so I can get those 1200 points back.

*edit* Just noticed that Castlevania IS part of the Summer of Arcade campaign. That's one game I'm not spending 1200 points on...
