This does look really good, and the graphical improvement is much easier on the eyes. I loved the first one, played it twice, but this looks much more fluid.
Best part: they got rid of the squeaky noise when you're running around. Man that bugged me.
Dont you get tired of that Only on PS3 bs. I hate Xbox just like that next dude but cant we appreciate a game without brining in all that marketing crap. Im just saying.
I think its because they're playing it on those 120hz HDTV's! I have one, so thats why I pretty sure cause all my PS3 games run and looks really smooth & nice on it.
Holy crap! The graphics and animations in this game are NUTS. I was going to add "for an open world game" but that's not even true, they're freaking great for any type of game and the fact that this is an open world game just makes it absolutely crazy what they've accomplished. I thought the first inFamous was fun and had good graphics, but the improvements here are absolutely ridiculous. How'd they do it?
The difference between now and Infamous 1 is that fanboys like you didn't shit in their pants back then for buying the inferior console. Have fun with Kinectimals
Sucker Punch is too worried about pleasing their fickle fan-base, same fan-base who said they wouldn't buy the game if they didn't change the guy back to the way he was, instead of expand the franchise outward with much needed elements.
Things like, Oh I don't know -- In door missions, maybe? The game would have much more variety in it if we were able to do missions inside of places. We'd also have to use different strategy elements with our powers, as things could conduct in different ways and bounce back and so forth and so on.
But, yeah, let's bitch about the fact the new cole didn't look "BLAND" enough.
@ guy below me
"Who's to say they won't?"
Well, they did. I heard this from their mouth myself.
"No. There are no indoor missions. Not this time out. There is talk about DLC down the road but nothing to discuss at this time."
@ Eddy
I nag? You are apart of the problem here. You participated a great deal in the bitch session that got cool Cole taken back to "BLAND" Cole. I nag? Hell, you nag so well you get your way. That's nagging rites right there. And them sewer missions were hardly indoor missions, man. They were all the same. I'm talking about buildings and complexes. Hospitals and Malls to reek havoc in. I'm talking about Sports Arena's. Epic scale stuff.
Who's to say they won't? Complaining about complainers seems even more of a trivial activity than complaining about the cosmetic appearance of an in-game avatar. Cheer up.
P.S. Please find a synonym to "generic." Gamers have limited vocabularies, as does everyone, but we've got to try anyway.
Edit: At above: Perhaps it isn't in their game design. If that's the case, deal with it.
nag nag nag nag, can't you spend a day without nagging about anything?there were indoor missions in infamous the sewer but you wouldn't know since you don't play games at all.
O-T: Can't wait for this game, the story is too good! I wanna know what hapened to Alden and Sasha.
"You participated a great deal in the bitch session that got cool Cole taken back to "BLAND" Cole" lol what? I liked the new cole, I was one of the few people here who defended his new look. I kept repeating how more alive he looked and how it really showed how much he moved on after all the shit that happened in Empire city. Speaking of indoor maybe you should go out and get some fresh air too it might help cool your head off instead of complaining about everything.
You know what Batlis? I usually call you a whining troll (not a fanboy troll which are kind of the same) but I won't this time. Because I kind of agree with one thing really, I would like to see indoor building missions but all you had to say was "I wish they would do indoor missions," instead of putting it in the context you put it in.
As for listening to their nagging, whining fanbase, it was a simple little thing so it hardly took away from development time I'm sure. Yeah I also agree about alot of people whining about Cole's looks but they did an obviously great job of improving in what seems to be all areas, at least give them credit for that.
Every time you post a comment it just further proves to me that A) You have a lack of respect for this generation of gaming or B) you're a soulless drone, who plays games and picks out all the bad things (no matter how minor) and blow them up. Either one is really. But hey, at least you're not a troll right?
Wow. I didn't realize how much of an emo he is until I read that. He really DOES need to cheer up. I was just saying that because he was whining, but now it seems quite a bit more relevant.
♥ I agree with everything you saying. I don't know why you have alot of disagrees. I guess the Infamous fanboys can't handle the truth! The old cole was boring! He was a bland character. I love that sucker punch listens to their fans but they should have ignored them about the character design! I also agree with the indoor missions. Fighting outside got boring really quickly. Having a few indoor missions wouldn't hurt ♥
They're not disagreeing with his post. They're just flat-out disagreeing because he doesn't ever like anything at all. I can almost guarantee that he hates you even though you defended him just now.
He hates me for posting this.
He hates the internet for existing.
He hates video games.
He hates being alive.
He hates getting disagrees.... and agrees, for that matter.
He hates air. There's no good use for it.
He hates words. He rather grunt.
Catch my drift? It's almost comical. I'd say it's fully comical, but that would cause Baltis to hate comedy. No, wait, he probably already does. Actually, don't wait.... Baltis hates waiting.
Oh my god! This looks so incredibly smooth and polished already. Look at the transition between attacks, with absolutely no slow-down at all. To top it off, the animations look freaking vicious. Hot damn!
and pass the throwable cars and electricity! So much Goodness going on, The game looks amazing(Despite the video quality and Dev cycle, SP has a TON of time to fine tune this game so I can imagine how the final build is going to look), Old Cole is back(Thank You SP for hearing us and personally responding to my email) and I'm stoked as hell for this game. The wait will be long and trying. DAY 1
His ability to electrify desired objects, and the fact that there's usually a small circular reticule in his vision, suggest that his mind has some level of control over his electrostatic energy. Thus, telekinesis is an acceptable description of his abilities.
That was awesome. Loved the telekinesis car throw. will have lots of fun seeing how many cars, peopel and things I can throw and how far, how many people I can crush and how many landmarks I can destroy. Mwuh hah hah hah hah!!!!!! But on another note that burrowing enemy looks like it could be an annoyance like those things with the blades for arms in God of War. I hated those things. Also you people have a serious stick up your @$$es. Here we are watching an incredible, epic game watching Cole kick @$$ and all you can whine about is "I wish there were indoor missions", Do you even know if there are indoor missions? This is one of the first few scenes we have seen of the gameplay. You go on two showings of gameplay to make assumptions? You people slay me, you know that?
so epic, so pretty, so electrifying. I want a static shock cameo in this or something lol. This is how you do a super hero game and this is how you do a open world game. The graphics of this game with destruction is sick.
as if i wasn't excited enough for inFAMOUS 2, this just sent it through the stratosphere.
it'll be nice to finally be able to get some inFAMOUS coverage without the poor attempts at the media to divert some attention towards Prototype. seriously, last year was so irritating reading article after article about inFAMOUS, only to have Prototype brought up. i recently brought inFAMOUS to work to show one of my co-workers who was considering picking it up for his PS3, and another huge Xbox fan co-worker walked up and was like, "is that Prototype? it looks like Prototype..." after i smacked him one (i didn't really, sadly), i proceeded to wow him with the game, and he's currently looking into getting a PS3 so he can play inFAMOUS, and God of War 3. unfortunately, he's one of those guys that's still under the impression that the PS3 has no games, and some of my other co-workers just use it for a Blu Ray player.
what makes this even worse is that i work at Konami, of all places, and my co-workers are mostly 360 fanboys. after playing some God of War 3, Ratchet: ACIT, and inFAMOUS for them, however, they started wavering.
anyway, back on topic, i noticed some improvements to the animations, in particular his shock grenade throw is more of a flick of the wrist, as well as his general electric blast.
also, his Levitate ability looks fricking AWESOME.
Sucker Punch needs to release these game play demonstrations on the PSN, in HD, without the whole off camera thing Sony likes to do.
inFAMOUS 2 was already at the top of my list, but next year, if i can only get inFAMOUS 2 and The Last Guardian, i will be a happy and content PS3 gamer. it's fortunate that next year is full of so much win for the PS3. too many games to throw my money at. some hard decisions lie ahead, that's for sure.
the interview also states there will be a day/night cycle this time around. sweet!
Damn Sucker Punch, and here I wanted to keep complaining about the character model but after seeing this,
Day 1 Baby! Day 1.
Looks awesome! I can't wait until next year, so many games to look forward to!
I want the old cole. I hate bald headed guys!
Bad-f*cking-ass!
What is different about this and the first game? can he WALK now?
