Gamescom: Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One IGN First Look

IGN: It's funny that we've been playing Ratchet and Clank titles for several years now (a series about two distinct characters who work together), but it's never been a cooperative title. Well that was the same thought of the newly formed Insomniac Games in North Carolina, which put that thought into action with the newly announced Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One.

The story is too old to be commented.

Online, offline, drop in, drop out...

A sweet game it will be.

What if you want to play offline by yourself? Does it use bots?

This is gonna be awesome, specially me and some of my friends are moving in together. This will be the perfect game for us :D

I bet none of you will buy this game. you Sony loyalists just 'act' to get more bubbles but don't really care about the franchise.

Guess why R&C fanbase is getting smaller with every instalment? because it's fans are loosing interest on the franchise due to NOT INNOVATING.

Just like how ND killed J&D Insomniac will probably end up doing the same.

Ignorant much?

ACT was the fastest selling RC of all-time. And while ToD got off to a slow start, it had sold over a million by March 08 according to Ted Price. Surely it's seen additional sales over the past two years.

The RC franchise is doing just fine. Most developers would kill for 1.5 million to 2 million sales for a game. I know Remedy would.

To MS credit, Gears and Halo have nearly reached that Mario level where anything with the name on it is gonna sell millions, But how much of that is because there's no other exclusives on the 360?

Killzone, Uncharted, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, InFamous, Little Big Planet, MLB the Show, Heavy Rain, MAG etc may not sell 10 million each, but five million here, two million there, four million over there etc, its just more spread out because there's so many more choices. It means that PS3 owners aren't waiting every 12 months for "the next installment of one of the two big games".

Do games in general tend to sell more on the 360 than on the PS3, sure, but they have the bigger install base. 2+2=4 right?

Bottom line, I don't care how many copies of Ratchet and Clank are sold, its one of the most enjoyable games out there and the experience isn't any better or worse because 10 million copies aren't sold.

....since the very first R&C game and have played them all (only one I wasn't so keen on was Gladiator/deadlocked) otherwise bought them all (and on psp) and loved every game.
