perfectly acceptable in an editorial. The article is the author's view not the papers.

but according to everything I can find on the subject, it may be a violation of Copyright law. That is why I added the word "Editorial" to the title.

I'm sure the first game I'm gonna show my 2 year old is Mortal Kombat 2. I've been playing violent games and seeing violent movies as long as I can remember (Saw one gory zombie movie at the age of 4) and thank God, I'm having a rather healthy career and life.
If the children are raised properly and with enough attention, violent games can do them no harm. (I've been die-hard Mortal Kombat fan since I was 10 when I first played MK back then). The kids need protection from some bad and stupid parents not the games, books or movies.

"While they try to find meaningful solutions to protecting our kids, parents cannot afford to wait for elected officials to solve this problem."

Seems like parents don't even try anymore, they only let government do their job.

How is the Government going to protect kids from pretend violence?
It can't, and is rather hypocritical when they encourage every kid 18 and
older to pick up gun and kill people whenever they say so.
