Interview: Creator Reveals Inspirations, Atmosphere, and Technology of Replika (DualShockers)

DualShockers writes, "DualShockers recently had the pleasure and the privilege to speak with Biodroid Productions’ Bruno Patatas, Creator of Replika, in an in-depth interview that shines light on upcoming Action / Strategy game for PSN with a cyberpunk theme and a dedicated focus on single player experience. We found out a lot about the game and the universe it takes place in during this interview including the inspiration behind the story and atmosphere, the implementation of Stereoscopic 3D HD, what it’s like working with the PS3, and much more. We hope you enjoy this interview that should bring Replika out of its shrouded mystery and give some intimate insight on the game as well as the creative process behind it. We even got to learn about some of the technology in the game including the LIFE engine. Bruno was a great sport with our bombardment of questions and gave us a great read in response!"

great interview... cool guy.

As most people, first time I hear about this PSN game.

Need more info, at least a teaser. When will they release more info? screenshots, something?

Awesome interview! This title sounds pretty interesting!

This game is something fresh and new coming to the PSN. I'm actually surprised but happily looking forward to checking it out with NO multiplayer support. Too many games tack it on these days when really a good experience is what we all want.

I agree, it's interesting that there is no multiplayer support, but I like it. This frees up the developer to focus more on the story aspects of the title.

I feel a lot of people over look PSN games. There are a bunch that are great, and this game sounds like it might break into that mold.

PS+ needs to give more PSN demos so people can get a chance to experience and buy PSN games, even though they're cheap, no one wants to waste $15 on a game they won't like, and with PS+ gamers can try before you buy.

Hopefuly everything works out for this game.

Makes sense Bizzel, I think this game is interesting too.

I'm really intrigued by this game especially after this interview. I am very hooked by the main premise and I'm just dying to see how the gameplay looks! Very exciting to be playing a rebellious female in a world such as Replika's universe has crafted.

Chadness2671d ago

Them choosing a female lead is also rather intriguing, especially in a world of bulky male-dominated main characters in Western titles.

Chadness2671d ago

I really enjoyed him talking about where they got the inspiration for these games.

dkblackhawk502671d ago

Thats where all the good games come from, a good inspired developer.

Games4M - Rob2671d ago

Its a pretty epic vision that he is setting out to live up to. Im sold on his list of influences, tbh i hadnt heard of this game before.

dkblackhawk502671d ago

Neither had I, but I will look forward to this game from now on :D
