GameSpy got their hands on some new images of Haze.
Is it just me or do a couple of screenshots really look sub par to the current generation of graphics? http://media.pc.gamespy.com... http://media.pc.gamespy.com... I think I'm just affected by the charisma of this thing called realism in games. I'm sure Haze is going to be a nice game though. Will definitely buy it if it gets good reviews.
Some games go for that realism, others don't. It all depends on what the developer has in mind.
Yea they have to go with a perfect blend. Arcade shooters sell more than realistic shooters too. Halo vs Rainbow 6? Halo sold way more, but they are both great games for different crowds. Yet Halo is better to pick up and play and is more forgiving than Rainbow 6.
Not in the same league as Killzone 2(nothing is). But Haze craps all over the last gen looking Halo 3 graphics.
it doesnt look good, it seems kinda b rate to me.
Haze's graphics aren't really hot but its story and gameplay are. Cant wait to see what surprises Free Radical has for us.
better.... and yuk at thouse screenshots..... but the gameplay sounds real neat... especially the playing dead part ^_^
that would be funny
and Im looking for awesome looking games for my PS3 - this year! W T F ? UT3 better F'n deliver ....
I hope they make Timesplitters 4 ASAP. I would of rather had that come out, but EA gots the rights now...
It does actually look a bit bland, worse than previous screens. But then, on the other hand, it is the PC version we're seeing here (shouldn't justify anything, but still, we've only seen console pics before, and they've been better). Am I not right?
Odd I thought it was pretty good, lol!
i guess, and these are pc shots. :-/
PC screenshots should be better than console screenshots but as you Haze is not coming any time soon on PC, I doubt it will look too different
The one screen showing the before and after of Nectar looks really good.
but i wonder whats coming from timesplitters 4
based solely on these unflattering screens imo. This game isn't finished and I believe it will be a great hold over between Drake's, COD4 and KZII. It won't outshine COD4 but it will be a nice distraction from MODERN WARFARE. If the story holds up this could turn out to be a 'fancy' R6V as far as graphics go + story go. If not, God help it.
so this game's graphics according to some hazed fans is supposedly better than Crysis? Disagree with me all you want but it looks more like Enchanced Fear+Far Cry.
I blew chunks all over it. This looks ugly. Maybe they will fix it up before release. So much for a Halo killer. Next time someone calls their game a Halo killer they better make sure it is.
Is being hyped the hell out of... Yet we haven't seen a damn thing from it! It's the same situation with a ton of games coming out. They should make the games, and leave it to the mags to state how good it is. I NEED A REVIEW OF KZ2 NOW!
I feel the same way jay, theres way too much pre-release hype with a lot of games now. Lair is a perfect example, the game isn't out yet, but so many people have their minds set on what it will be like based on a few reviews. How about we wait until these games are actually released before we christen them the next big franchise or big flops. Haze is especially guilty of that with the devs repeating the "halo killer" mantra over and over. Anytime I hear people say "halo killer" I think of the old "jordan stopper" sports mantra that was applied to a bunch of nba players that never lived up to the hype. I hope haze is great, but so far after what i've seen I honestly don't think it'll be as great as the devs say it will be.
I agree. This game haven't shown me a god damn thing and if you're going to hype, then at least show me something to get hyped about. More than likely CoD 4 and KZ2 will walk all over this game.
REview something that isn't out yet. You could PREview it, and there are many of those to be found.
looks ok but they are probably scans
check the gamespy links, these are not scans
