Super Stardust Devs Announcing New Game at PAX

Demi Adejuyigbe of Ripten: While I haven’t yet been able to make my way to the west coast for the annual Penny Arcade Expo, I hear it’s quite the shindig for anyone that loves rubbing elbows with the developers that make our industry great. It’s only going to get more exciting this year as Housemarque, the developers behind Super Stardust and the upcoming Dead Nation, are announcing a new game for PSN and XBLA at the expo this year. (PS3, Xbox 360)

I wonder what it will be. Another Super Stardust, or something else?

I really enjoyed SSDHD,maybe their next title will use Move and/or 3D too.

I hope it's better than Dead Nation. I've decided that I've seen enough to see that game as generic or plain crap.

Stardust is quite good, but I don't like how it's kind of 'random', if you know what I mean... random waves, and the asteroids aren't actually reacting to your input, they just go over everywhere... I prefer it like Geowars where they pursue you.

Dead Nation looks great though. Seems to have RPG looting elements, and zombie killing. That's pretty cool. I'm sure I'll spend a fair bit of time on it that.

They seem to be a pretty talented dev though. Hopefully this new title will try to break out and do something different. Not that I don't like top down shooters mind you.

actually the asterois are moving according to their mass and their initial point of entry ( that can change if you shoot at it )

not so random

I just prefer the game types and the game design of GeoWars. Don't get me wrong, Super Stardust is great. But GeoWars has much more fun game types and overall design, like you said of the enemies, weapons, game elements, etc.

I really hope it's SSHD2 though I don't know where they stand with Sony on rights to a sequel. I am pretty sure HouseMarque owns the Super Stardust IP so if they can make another one I will be supremely happy.
