LittleBigPlanet 2: Split Screen Possible

EDIT: NVM

EDIT2: @krisq - I got confused on this as well, which is why I edited my comment. What they mean is splitting the screen up between the players, as in if you can be in one part of a level and another player can be in a different part, both with your own camera. Instead of one camera being tied to 4 players. At least I think that is what they mean.

Can Media Molecule do no wrong? SNES Mario Kart clone, please.

awesome news but where does it say you can play splitscreen?

Yes, cannot wait to let my imagination run riot.

I think players on the same system may have the same screen though, but it might come and it certainly would be useful.

okay so this what they should do
now when someone get out of the screen in LBP he dies after few seconds
now what they should do in LBP2 is as soon as some one gets out of the screen his character appears on the top right of the screen as a small split screen and the same with other players
when all 4 just far away from each other the screen splits into 4 parts

i think this what they should do

and this should help with CO-OP kind of levels
when one player spawns at some point and the other player spawns at some other point far away from the first player
mattiebo123  +   1023d ago
hmm, i think that could be a problem for some levels.

Because some people design their levels with the 4 players-on-one-screen system in mind. It would be better to have a tool which enables split-screen.

But, by the sound of it, if there's a tool for it then it will be possible on a single system. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

@mattiebo123
Could just make a camera follow each player so when they get split apart it can keep track.

Where it says 'split screen'
in the article??

"Now playing online - and this may sound rather techy and boring - you can have divergent cameras," confirmed Healey.

This means "people playing on different machines can be looking at different parts of the world."

Not a word about split screen :/

this is still a big deal
since before you all had to be on he screen at once or else die, now everyone can be all over the place =D

still a big deal!! just no local split screen oh well
krisq  +   1023d ago
Big deal
indeed, but that's no split screen :)

Any of you played indiana jones lego, the screen splits and it does not matter where you are.

I'd like that for LBP2.
callahan09  +   1023d ago
So "split screen possible" doesn't mean the usual PR statement of "the game could possibly, potentially, maybe have split screen" but instead it is a legitimate confirmation that "it is possible to play this game with splitscreen modes".

Split Screen NOT Possible.
You still can't play splitscreen with your friends at your house, but you can play on your own screen online.
OpenGL  +   1023d ago
This is still a pretty big improvement for online play.

Hoping!!!
It better have this. I will buy the game either way but I will be very disappointed and mad at MM for to doing this. This was the major thing that made the first one not as good as it could have been.

This will definitely get me into building more levels only cause my bro could help me out.

EDIT: Posted to soon. I thought they meant split-screen offline. Well still hoping they have split-screen offline.

Online has taken over the gaming industry. Video games didn't use to make me unsocial but they are definitely trying.
