Guardian: Dragon Quest: 'If the game is good, then people will play'

Guardian writes: "To date the Dragon Quest franchise has sold 53m copies worldwide (and because numbers are nothing without context, that's eight million more than Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon). Yet only three million of those sales were outside Japan. Now, with the latest instalment, Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, its creators are determined to finally recreate their domestic success abroad." (Culture, Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime, Dragon Quest IV, Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen, Dragon Quest IX, Dragon Quest IX: Hoshizora no Mamoribito, Dragon Quest IX: Protectors of the Starry Sky, Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of Starry Skies, Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, Dragon Quest V, Nintendo DS, PS2)
