Is it time for Microsoft's Steve Ballmer to go?

He's been called a genius, he's been called Monkey Boy. Many love him, many hate him. Steve Ballmer has been Microsoft's chief executive for 10 years; now he's under mounting pressure to keep Microsoft relevant in the age of iPhones, iPads and Web services.

stop with the foking pic lol! XD

N4GAddict2832d ago

Why? He looks nice in it...

Conloles2832d ago

I believe Ballmer should go but currently MS just posted their biggest profit for the quarter so chances are he won't. I want him to go but unless WP7 is a monumental screw up (looks waesome imo) then he'll stick around unfortunately.

nix2832d ago

let him be... he's doing great justice to the gaming industry.

GWAVE2832d ago

It's only a matter of time before Balmer goes. Every single OTHER Xbox-brand founder has left the company for greener pastures (that should tell you something). Balmer is just hanging on because I think he likes to be in charge.

In an oven you mean? Yummy.

RAZORLAND2832d ago (Edited 2832d ago )

seems like more of WHO you know than what you know in this case...

I want to French kiss that guy...

He had virtually unlimited funds with which to take Microsoft into new markets by building new businesses owned by Microsoft.

Despite all that money, all he's done is create one failed business after another that's being propped up on life-support and gradually draining Microsoft's coffers.

He should go just because of this disgusting, over-used picture.

SOAD2832d ago

Microsoft is doing relatively well. I don't see Ballmer going anywhere just yet.

ScubaSteve12832d ago

how about u let greenberg go, im sure people are tired of him already

DelbertGrady2832d ago

I can agree that most of us are tired of the picture that the gaming media portrays of these people. But at the same time we have no idea what they produce in their day to day business. I mean what if it's thanks to Greenbergs decisions that Limbo is on XBLA, or thanks to Peter Dille that original titles like Journey is coming to PSN? We mostly get to read whacky quotes, usually taken out of context.

pippoppow2831d ago

Well, he is a wacky guy. Actually quite embarrassing. That video of him paradong around on stage like some over stressed coked up fratboy is condemning. He should run as a republican for the next presodential election. He'd fit in nicely and continue their recent legacy of having embarrassong nominees on the ticket.
