SDCC 2010 Panel: Halo: Reach

GrE writes, "Bungie closed out the day in Room 6BCF at San Diego Comic-Con with a panel for Halo: Reach, releasing September 14th. While they only showed off the improvements in Firefight and Forge modes, this is not too disappointing – what they showed off was very impressive..."

The new updates to Forge are enough to make me want to buy this, let alone a band new campaign!

roblef2736d ago

Really? Is Halo still relevant? ;)

bgrundman2736d ago

Of course it is. I still consider it to be one of the most influential console shooters of all time.

Neco5122736d ago

Um yes, this will be one of the greatest games of all time

Paradicia2736d ago (Edited 2736d ago )

How about you go individually ask the millions of fans around the world?

with that semicolon, end parentheses, he's indicating that he's shedding a tear because nobody gives a shit what he has to say. that or someone just jizzed in his face.

I know you're trolling, but Halo is very relevant. Me and a few buds just popped in Halo 2 yesterday. Had such a great time, we had forgotten how fun it was.

And here I thought Halo 3 was supposed to "Finish the Fight". I grew bored with Halo, Bungie needs to focus their extraordinary efforts into a new IP.

Davedough2736d ago

I understand, but its still squeezing as much from the teet of Halo as possible.

Davedough2736d ago

By the way, I get +5 for using "teet" in a sentence.

Mustang300C20122736d ago (Edited 2736d ago )

So is God of War big deal not that serious. Plenty of games to play when they decide to do the new IP.

STICKzophrenic2736d ago

In case you didn't know, Reach is their Halo swan song. They're in the preliminary stages for a new IP.

Besides, no one really cares if you're bored with Halo. Millions of people play it everyday still.

002736d ago (Edited 2736d ago )

Reach is nothing like previous halos.

starven2736d ago

I'm having a hard time getting excited for this. If Bungie had made this a full space sim I might care more about it, but at this point MoH is more exciting to me.

Paradicia2736d ago (Edited 2736d ago )

You have a very shallow taste in games to prefer a generic MW copy over Reach. What is MoH bringing to the FPS genre that hasn't already been offered and beaten to death?

BeaArthur2736d ago

It would be awesome if they took user created maps and use those for double XP weekends, and then allow us to vote if we want it put into some sort of rotation with the regular maps.

Dorwrath2736d ago

They already do that dude, not the vote thing but user created maps playlist. Maption Sack I do believe. I don't see that changing with reach.
