NowGamer: Lionhead just sent us some lovely new Fable III screens...
GOTY contender imo
I cant wait for this game. This and Halo Reach are on the top of my list. great year for MS!!!
not a bad year for Sony and Nintendo also :)
I agree, looks amazing.
it does look very nice.
Visuals look better than Fable II. Interesting...
Scope looks epic. Love the victorian-style art design. Throw in about 10 per cent steam punk, and I'm there.
You mean like the steampunk-esque hanging boat on rails thing?
Can't wait for it!
Looks nice, when`s the release date?
Looks good, I hope it's not a blurry mess like Fable 2. That game looked 480p in the daytime.
http://nowgamer.com/static/... Wow. Haven't seen a 360 game looking that bad. I'm sure it can't look that bad... that's way worse than Fable 2. Baffles me why they sent out these crappy shots though. If you're not sure what I'm referring to, the absurd amount of jaggies, and the fact that the entire layered suit of armour has been 1 textured, with seemingly no bump mapping.
To be fair you can't tell that from such a small picture & the jaggies will be a result of shrinking the image. Critical comments can not be made from stamp-shots like these. They're hardly the gears-style bullshots are they?
I agree. As I said. I don't think it's how the game is going to look, but I have to question why screenshots, malformed like these were ever released. Is it something the source did to these shots, or is this how Lionhead provided them? If the latter, I find the decision to release these rather questionable, and then again. Aspects like the absence of bump mapping on character model, and low res textures on trees are hardly realistically going to differ much with larger screenshots. I just hope they release some at native res soon. So people can see what the game really looks like.
It probably does need polishing. It's funny how in previous screenshots it has been very smooth.. Oh well they still have time.
And the overworld map and rule kingdom features are out of this world
"People" and by that of course I mean fanboys, are spouting "OMG GOTY!" and they don't even know what context the pics are being taken from. Better to just say you either like or don't than instead of just setting up an excuse to start another flame war.
If you had played Fable II you would know their was no in-game cut scenes, excluding the start, and I'm sure PM is heading in the same direction.. Although I do agree the GOTY edition is a bit far fetched, esppecially since the game hasn't even been released yet
Looking much better then 2.
