guys its not that hard i dont know what the complaining is all about
its really easy in my opinion most of the bosses took my the first time to kill them even garl vinland the only boss that wass annoying was the king dorian and allant but if you know there weaknes then there cake

I agree the game isn't that difficult. The parts that make it difficult can be the trophies, which require very specific things of you that can be difficult to do and not ruin your chances of getting other trophies without having to a half dozen play-through where it becomes more difficult each play-through. I remember screwing up against the crystal geckos that drop the darkmoonstone in world 4 so many times and letting them get away that I didn't get my pure darkmoonstone until my 4th play-through.

I personally think that the game's perceived difficultly is highly dependent on how you play the game. For example if you are the kind of person who goes and reads online strategy guides before you even attempt a boss, then you will know the tricks to beating it and probably beat it on the first or second try.

Also if you tend to summon many blue phantoms to aid you then even if you don't know whats going on they probably do and can 'drag' you through the level.

If, however, you run the game solo and don't look at strategy guides it can be a very challenging and rewarding experience. One thing we should all agree on though is that this game captures the essence of video games from the NES era.

It is a bit low for DS, but i guess it is because it is not really a RPG at all
Maybe the reviewed it as a RPG, and the lack of cities, dialogs, NPCs, quest removed the 2 points

no. there is no story and therefore no strong reason to play on. its just boss fight after boss fight with a cutscene once in a while.

It gets tedious. I would have given it a 7.

You play on for the challenge and fun of the combat. There doesn't need to be a story. FFXIII has all the story in the world but... Well need I say more?
