SonyStyle.com has been promoting a $100 deal for 60gb PS3 (including 5 BR movies). PS3mods reports you can now get $150 off on the same deal til August 31st. Hit the jump for details.
Wow that's only about £175. Really cheap compared the cheapest £330 price we have.
Seriously good deal, cant beat this one even with a bigger price drop. Its an "Adult" deal though, you need to be able to get a credit card, have decent credit.
This is really worth the money. If UK had anywhere near these prices PS3 would be sold out everywhere.
I knew there was a catch....
TAT IS ALLOT OF WORK
TAHT IS ALOT OF WORK
i wouldn't want a ps3 even if it was for a $100.
if you hate the ps3 this much then why even bother reading news about it.. not normal dude
Bend over Bill, Incoming!
Well then you sir, are an idiot.
Guys this is a true fanboy at work. *shakes head*
If you hate the ps3 so much... Why waste your time reading ps3 related articles? You have just proven to all of us that you are indeed an idiot.
1 agrees ,29 disagrees, I have bad news and bad news The bad news is there are at least 2 idiot xbox trolls in this N4G and one of them is jinn. The good news is I just save a lot of money in car insurance by switching to GEICO.
Jinn!!!! and please go pick up your other awards. Retarded comments, most drops on head, microsoft employer of the month.
Why even post? On topic sony should allow people to use any visa card, that way people wont have to be scared away from applying for another credit card.
It's all business.
It is all business. When I bought my 60" 1080p tv from amazon I saw I could get a no interest visa from Amazon for a certain amount of time. Plus is gave me points in the store on my first purchase. Between the $30 they give anyone who gets the card + the points for the tv/ps3 i bought with it. I got back another $205. $30 + $175 + no interest for whatever amount of months it was back then + a happy shopper. Not to mention my credit score went down for one month from the initial hit, and then up double the amount because of how much my total credit cards credit limit was boosted.
You basically have to apply for a Sony co-branded credit card to get the discount. Every time you apply for a new credit card, your FICO score goes down a little bit; and the Sony card does *not* have an attractive APR (interest rate) or other nice perks.
True but atleast you get some purchases for your credit history. I only use credit cards that have a point system and a low APR. I get free flights all the time now, too bad the Sony Credit card has crappy perks.
Your score will go down max 10 points for probably not more then a month. And depending how much credit they give you, it may jump more then it was original due to you now having more credit. Ive done this for a living, more credit does not hurt unless you dont know how to manage it. Take cards and utilize the 0% offers by moving your balances and after you pay off your original debt, throw them in a desk draw and dont use them. As for apr who cares when you have 12 months of "0%" http://www.sonystyle.com/we... "0% Introductory APR for up to 12 months and No Annual Fee3" After the 12 months or during it you talk down the apr, or just dont use it after the 0% is up.
Guess what buddy who give a rats arse what you want? Get outta here with your negativity.
and jinn, 360 sucks
So $350 for a 60 gig PS3...damn that is a good deal...this goes to show you SONY aint playing around and get ready for more price cuts...because they are going to happen...we will see a less than $400 PS3 MSRP soon..
Are you serious? this looks a little desperate to me.
SONY is doing a great job.
I feel for you i would also get desperate if i saw that price, just give in dude, come enjoy life as it should be (RROD FREE) =)
if there were more games on the ps3 that intrested me right now i would probably do this, i think for now though i'll just wait for maybe a true redesign and price drop. by xmas 08 i'm sure i'll be able to justify a ps3 purchase.
For the ULTIMATE Sony fan...the Sony credit card...niiiice XD Dude there is a WOW and a Sims one so why the hell not!
Sony really knows how to back door it's customers!
If you plan on getting the Sony credit card, buying the PS3 on it and then immediately paying off the bill, then this is a good deal, otherwise get ready to pay back that $100 savings with 23% interest.
you have 12 months of 0% interest....
They have had $100 credit if you get the sony card for over a year now, this has nothing to do with Sony making JUST the PS3 cheaper. The card if for EVERYTHING sony, its like going to amazon.com and geting $30 off your first purchase plus 3 points for every $1 you spend. Every company does this, sony is just doing a little more for a special with $150 for the next 27days. Has anyone here ever bought anything online with credit card ? Circuit city, Best buy, Amazon, they all do it with promos every now and then. Sony is way more then a video game company just like micorsoft is way more then a video game company. Only one who is a true video game company is nintendo if it gets down to that.
...not bad i had a dream once that i got a ps3 and i put it right next to my 360,i quickly ran behind my couch and poked my head out and just as i gust the beef was roasting and the brawl began, i freaked out because i had to get some popcorn. but when i got back the ps3's price tag was cut and the 360 had red lights :) ps even though i have a 360 i would like to get a ps3
But i allredy own a ps3 and would like to get 360. But i truly enjoy online gameing but to pay a monthly fee... NEVER!!!!!!!!
But you can cancel when ever you want.but also you can continue when ever, for instance like when ever me and my friends want to play online you can do two things buy a card at walmart or any place for $8 bucks and it will pay for a hole month or like what i do and pay online (this requires a credit card or debit).
It´s not that it is much money or i dont have a credit card, its more of a principle. I just dont want more and more games and console go down this road, and once i payed for a game i want the full experience without haveing to pay extra. But i understand people who do, im just a little stubborn.
I just payed for a TV with no-interest financing, so why not a console? Especially with a $150 rebate so to speak.
really considering now...... hmm....should i hold off a little more and take the chance they sell out?? hmm..... very tempting...
Seems like very good value. Most probably they will release the 80GB as the new standard and need to ensure that the 60B is cleared out. Maybe the new 65nm model will be standard and with 80GB. Makes sense. I have the 60GB euro model. Man - what a machine. Runs about 12 hours a day at least, non stop. Quiet, not much heat, faultless, looks sexy just sitting there. Get it. This thing is high quality. It makes any other thing look obsolete and primitive. The poor PS2 go chucked in a corner - as the PS3 plays all the PS2 titles better than the PS2. This is one hot machine - for this price - jump for it.
I look at it this way. I am debt free and normallydo not do credit cards but I was going to buy one anyway in a couple of months. This way I have 12 months no interest, got 150.00 off. I love it and I will have it in my hands by Friday. Now my 360 has a brother.
Congrats on your new toy. :-)
THanks... Friday can't get here soon enough.
everybody cares more about credit than money itself. Insert chip here *points to right hand* On a serious note these types of deals are becoming more widespread. I say.... Use cash whilst were still allowed to
