Will games eventually cross the platform of Digital Distribution? I'm not talking about 50 MB arcade games, but hardcore games like Splinter Cell or Halo that average around 3 – 8 GB of space on a DVD disc. This was the idea I thought a year ago when Microsoft was competing with similar services like Gametap. Microsoft took a different approach by allowing smaller developers and users with XNA tools to release titles on the Marketplace while also bringing back classics games similar to what Gametap offers. The only difference is that Gametap has modern games like Tomb Raider and Splinter Cell, and Xbox Live does not..
Still, why isn't there any original Xbox or Xbox 360 title to download at this moment?
