Examiner.com "Special and Limited Editions of games are nothing new but Capcom has revealed a creatively packed "Zombrex Edition" of Dead Rising 2 to help fight off the zombie infection."
Oh nice. Prob won't buy it, but it's still pretty sweet.
Yeah me either, but I can appreciate the creativity of silly stuff like a Zombrex syringe pen. lol
Definitely a sweet edition. I want that pen.
Looks very nice and very colorful. Problem is... I didn't care for the first much and will be waiting on reviews to see if I will be getting the sequel. Wish this was a CE for a game I knew I wanted, though, because it's actually nice and I don't have a 'gaming' pen in my collection yet (though I do have some sweet Star Wars Kooky Pens). I love how DVDs are now being called "High Definition game discs".
Same here, I will pick it up when the price drops, if at all.
I've got a ton of Amazon gift cards, so I'm all over this.
Oh i'm definitly buying this, since im a huge fan of dead rising and of course capcom :)
i want the big figure the europeans are getting, nuts to this.
I'm more interested in the 360 exclusive Case Zero dlc.
All these special editions are bullsh!t. Special editions were created to give a select few consumers something akin to a collector's item. Every game these days has a special/collector's edition. The idea behind collectors/special editions is that they are worth more than the regular release. The problem is that all these companies release THOUSANDS of special editions. These items won't be worth sh!t in the future because so many people will own them. Furthermore, people buy "special editions" and open them for the game, are you f#$king stupid?!?!?!? They are "special" because they contain stuff the other versions don't have. Why open it for a $60 game and ruin your chances of selling a mint collector's edition in 20 years? What's with people buying all these special editions and opening them? They are meant for collecting, however because there are 1000s out there, they're really not worth jack. That is how developers get you. They get your extra money for something that's worth pennies more because it has added plastic sh!t in the box. Maybe those would be worth something but no, publishers release thousands of the "special editions" so even if you don't open yours, there are 10,000 others who didn't open theirs and yours is worth sh!t.
I buy mine for me, i dont worry abotu what others say about them or what other do with theirs. I buy them cause I want the stuff in it, to use, to look at, what ever. I dont play games so that i can have money in liek 20 years from now. I game cause i want to have fun, some times the special editions add nice items that increase my interest, other times not. You are in the wrong hobby if you are collecting stuff just to collect it.
Looksgood to me, how much is it?
Don't buy the PS3 version of this, if you guys have the option. I dunno if you guys noticed but according to those details only the 360 version includes the 84 minute zombrex motion picture. Just a heads up. I guess I'll just get the normal edition on PS3. It seems Capcom favour 360, just a little.
then don't bye it.......
Out of all the games coming out this fall, I'm worried about this one the most. The company that's making this has no experience outside of a few sports games and I haven't heard anything that amazing about it.
Most of the crew that did the first game is working together with Blue Castle on this one. I didn't really know what to think until I saw the first couple of screenshots with Chuck swinging a swordfish around. These guys totally get what makes Dead Rising great.
360: "High-Definition game disc with 83 Minute “Zombrex Dead Rising Sun” motion picture and 24 minute “Making of” featurette" Seems they're trying really hard not to sell a single copy to PS3 owners. Good job Capcom. I was on the fence about DR2 but now it's definitely off my list.
I really hope they don't blow this game. The first was amazing.
It looks sweet, and if you're a fan of the first game then you should definatly buy it. I however, have not played the first, and so I'll only be picking up the standard DR2.
i like the other edition with the fat zombie figure
So is this coming to the US?
Is the US in North America? "Special and Limited Editions of games are nothing new but Capcom has revealed a creatively packed "Zombrex Edition" of Dead Rising 2 exclusively for North America to help fight off the zombie infection." The article had been updated to specify the region since Europe is getting a different box.
Too bad I can't justify the purchase. Really, the only time I get a special edition is if there is another game included. Like Modern Warfare 2, and the upcoming Medal of Honor and Dead Space 2.
