Next-Gen's hearing buzz that id is going to announce a deal with Valve at Quakecon this week...
No, it's not your dream FPS where Gordon Freeman battles Strogg, but it sounds likely that id will be bringing its games to Valve's Steam digital distribution platform. (Culture, Doom 3, Industry, PC, Quake 4, Quake II, Quake Wars)

Thats cool, and to think that it was Doom 3 against Half Life 2 for the next best graphics competition back in the day.
