i smell budget game but admittedly i am kinda interested in this.

Elven65030d ago

Gaijin is a small studio but they made some very impressive titles, IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey was a great game, it was great graphically and is perhaps the most realistic dog fight game on the market. The casual settings were also great to.

Godmars2905030d ago

I smell a PSN/XBLA title that's coming on disc for $60.

nickjkl5030d ago

looks at title activision

ya know i think ill PASS on this sounds awesome but ya know it involves kotick

Elven65030d ago

Why pass on their new IP's, especially when they are developed externally? If anything, pass on Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, etc but by passing on newer titles, IP's, etc you are sending only one message. More Call of Duty and Guitar Hero, less new stuff.

jerethdagryphon5030d ago

id consider it but im not a fan of choppers too fiddly with feathering and dealing with 2 differetn thrust systems

NMC20075030d ago (Edited 5030d ago )

Why punish the devs because of one man? That would be like punishing America because of Obama, whoops.
Anyway, I think it's stupid of Activision deniers to deny money to devs, I mean Bobby K is GOING to make money with or without you, it's a given, but those devs are not.

What if you worked at a McDonald's and because people hated your boss/manager they didn't come to your location and thus that would cause layoffs(you being one of them), thus causing the place to either move or close, that boss everyone hated will still be around making money at another location, but you and your coworkers will have to look for money supplies elsewhere.

Kotick - Will ALWAYS be rich.
Devs Under Activision - Depends on the gamers.

Excuse my analogy as it's probably a stupid one. lol

Quagmire5030d ago

Actually, more like punishing America coz of Bush

xxchicago33xx5030d ago

I don't know Nuclear Strike and Thunder Strike on PS1 were pretty badass games for anyone that remembers. As long as it's deeper than what I can get from hopping in a helicopter in Just Cause and blowing some stuff up.....I'm listening

Baka-akaB5030d ago

then again those titles were from EA , not activision , so meh pass

GamerXGATT5030d ago

There has been a drought on good flying games recently...

Elven65030d ago

Yes and no, 2009 was pretty good for flight sims, only one or two were actually any good though (IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey and H.AW.X. IMO).

Godmars2905030d ago

He did say "good" flying games, you know?

Elven65030d ago

Il-2 was reviewed pretty well, in the 80s on MetaCritic IIRC, not sure about H.A.W.X. but some publications did give it some good reviews. Also note the "IMO" at the end of my post.

Out of curiosity Godmars, have you played any of those games? The demos at the very least?

Ju5030d ago

Easy choice. What else was there ?

I liked Hawx and can't for Hawx2. If IL-2 is any good, I might get that - I would like modern jets, though (that was the only reason I didn't buy it so far - demo played great).

I remember and Apache flight simulator game I played on the Amiga in the 80s. I loved that game. Great something like that comes back.

Look, to be honest the FTC should just stop.

MS has A/B and nothing has really changed yet...if you are worried about 5-10 years from now...just drop it cause the future is unpredictable.

Take this week's news, that 4 Xbox exclusive are going Multiplatform.

Yeah man I think Microsoft here getting to probe is kinda wrong unless you only have accessed to necessary information not complete access imo.

Abriael76d ago

Obviously they aren't giving them the password to Sony's computers and telling them "help yourself."

Eonjay75d ago

"Microsoft allowed to probe Sony and Ubisoft"

Sounds hot...

ApocalypseShadow76d ago (Edited 76d ago )

Maybe Microsoft should also talk and get help from their "congressional influencers" at The Capital. They had plenty to say on the matter before the acquisition. They are mighty quiet after the purchase went through. Almost as if they had a stake in the matter.

Abriael76d ago

Could you perhaps explain how this is related? I'm honestly curious since you seem to bring it up rather often.

S2Killinit75d ago

He is pointing out how corrupt MS is, and how money talks. I think.

KwietStorm_BLM75d ago

I would say read between the lines but it's pretty damn clear as it is.

Bathyj75d ago

You should be careful upsetting Sony too much Microsoft.
You might need them to sell your subpar games soon.

TornRaptor75d ago

The games will become the best things ever all of a sudden.

Bathyj75d ago

Yeah I really doubt that.
I'm struggling to think of one I really cared about missing.

Hofstaderman75d ago

Bwhahahaha. Ain't that the truth.

Mr_cheese75d ago

The only exclusive im personally interested in from Microsoft is Elderscrolls and that's not even got s release date.

Everything else is genuinely of none interest.

OtterX75d ago

Microsoft never waits for the probing to be consensual.

derek75d ago

This isn't a major victory. They're essentially being allowed to call witnesses in regards to agreements they reached with Sony and Ubisoft which was initially blocked because Microsoft didn't make the request through the proper channels. This case is dead, there is no way the ftc will be allowed to unwind this acquisition.

Sephiroushin75d ago

they probably know case is death but want some proof to sue them for a few millions regarding other stuff, the ftc loves to sue everyone, be sure that as soon as all this end they will just go sue MS and end in a settlement.
