SNK to hold off on PS3 development until 2009

An SNK Playmore executive has spoken out about PlayStation 3 pricing, indicating that the developer may wait as long as four years to begin work on it - despite having already pledged titles to Nintendo Wii.... (PS3)

No need to develop on ps3
If you see the kind of games SNK make, such as metal slug, they are design like old megadrive/genesis games. So designing them for the ps3 would be ridiculous and a waste of money. They're perfectly fine staying with the ps2

yeah i agree. SNK is not really known to advance along with gaming technology quick. the 3-D game trend started a long time ago during the 32bit era, yet they stuck to 2-D graphics for a very long time. i think they've found their nice little niche in the last-gen consoles.

They should put their games up on the the PlayStation Network for download (as well as on Xbox Marketplace).

its a low cost alternative. they are a cheap company. they dont have much goin for them. snk's last hit title was what? capcom vs snk 2? they picked a smart move. because we wont miss them!
