A Dissection of PlayStation Home

3xG says: "From back in the day when PlayStation Home was a series of underground connected caverns and people didn’t know what was beyond the infamous gate, PlayStation Home has continued to change and to grow.

If you haven’t tried ‘Home’ or haven’t tried it recently, now would be the perfect opportunity. This article describes what Home has become to be used for, the good, the bad and the down-right annoying and what you can expect when you jump in, including some pleasant changes."

The story is too old to be commented.

Went to the Wipeout space, love it, but there was this pink/purple tiger furry creeping around the place. Also saw a few bulldogs in the plaza.

Could have sworn Sony said they'd never have that sort of thing.

I think Sony stated that people couldn't transform thier avatars i.e. into Mickey Mouse, or Become an Elf, a cat or a dog.

I guess costumes are o.k. and if anything are brining in money for them. I just went into home and it has changed alot since it launched with lots of spaces. However the functionality is still $%$#^%$# boring. There are free games to play and there is somewhat of a social atmosphere, but its hard to get a group of random people to go trophy hunting...

It needs more "aspects" besides just costumes and marketing. The Socom spaces and Warhawk spaces are going in the right direction, perhaps games can utilize game lobbies in home instead automattically. Instead of talking smack in a lobby waiting for it to countdown, you could wait in a room and dance instead. ..?

that "15-20 million people online" are only users that have atleast logged in atleast once.

I also never said it was empty. However I highly doubt there are more than 1million on a day.

@Walther

Who needs a Trophy room, Jukeboxes, or real party-launching when you can you go play dress up instead huh? Its "much more fun" to dress in virtual cowboy outfits huh....

There are ONLY humans in Home. Whether the humans dress up as anything else is still only humans. I think it's funny to go around Home.

The pedo's, freaks, and racists have also gone down. Thank god for MW2.

Seeing a Home avatar looking like a person in a furries suit actually makes it worse.

Would rather see an animal "skin" on an avatar than a furry suit.
