Guerrilla Games Managing Director Hermen Hulst discusses how Adolf Hitler, Mother Nature, and James Cameron helped shape the creative direction of his upcoming video game, Killzone 3.
Will this sit at 0 degrees because it's from a real site?
So let me ask you. what is a real site?
Do you even exist outside my mind? 0.o
Yeah it's a shame. A good site like this won't get any hits but a shithole like Ironstar Movement goes straight to the top (although the comments page is filled with how shit Ironstar actually is).
KZ3 will continue KZ2s legacy as the best FPS this generation.
efine "the best..." please.
You want me to define "the best" for you? Okay. "KILLZONE".
and very insightful interview. more articles like these should litter the front page
''As I witness Mother Nature's wrath unfurl on the news, I learn that the Killzone team took advantage of the natural disaster in Iceland. They studied high-definition footage of the volcanic eruption as a form of research for creating visual effects in their game. Absorbing as much reference material as possible, be it from history or from nature, is part of their creed.'' This is the quality of Developers we need in this Generation. Killzone 3, not only an FPS Game.
Killzone 3 is a must-buy for me.
"They studied high-definition footage of the volcanic eruption as a form of research for creating visual effects in their game." How bout that for some research! Super quality developers, extremely hyped for the Killzone conclusion!
I doubt it will be the conclusion. There will be more Killzone games. I can almost bet on that.
I'd guess that the reason that GG has such good and extensive ideas is because they are located in Amsterdam.
Really cool that they`re going to show more of the Helgast side of things in K3. I`ve always felt the potential to see a great story in the killzone universe, but i think you had to check it out yourself online to get the full picture. If they get that in the game this time and make an interesting storyline, i think K3 could have the best single player experience so far. I mean, K2 and COD4 is my two favorite single player campaigns so far, even though i din`t find either of the stories that good. If K3 has a better storyline and more varriation... well, safe to say we have a winner. A night level where red eyes just start poping up or you hear the shouts of attack dogs in the distance would be fun/scary :) Just hope we get some details about the multiplayer (and confirmed online co-op of some kind) soon, can`t wait.
KZ3 is not an FPS. Its a First Person War and Chaos Simulator with 500% more explosions than the nearest competition. Oh and you can shoot guys and stab them in the eye too. February 2011 can't come soon enough.
Bubbles for you. Also, nice username and avatar.
I can see this game taking over me.
I read the first few sentances and it seems pretty familiar
I might end up playing this as much as I played KZ1 back when it first came out. I was a fan of KZ1 since 2003 and I used to read my issues of OPM with the previews and cover stories over and over, soaking up as much info as I could. When they finally had a demo for the game, I knew I had to buy it. Didn't regret a single second of it and played the game for four years afterwards. If I still had the disc I'd still be playing it. Hell, I might as well order a new one. Hopefully KZ3 can pull that off with me again. I've been a fan of Guerilla since that time as well. They talk to users on the forums very regularly and I even used to play with the dev team since they hosted many Play The Dev Team events. A great developer indeed.
Guerilla developers are awesome they share things with there fans and we give them feed back on what needs to be done correctly for the next killzone i cant wait for this one Guerilla ftw
