If you need to pay for a 3G connection that could be a problem.
I want 3G on a handheld so i dont have to worry about being in a hotspot or at home. But if i had to pay for it as you say (which has also been my concern) it would most definitly be a problem.
or the PSP 2....granted it has two analog sticks...
