the thing is i loved crackdown, i WANT more of the same. 2 games isn't enough for me to tire of the formula, if you start hitting crackdown 3 and 4 and it's still the same i'd have issues. i've only played the demo but it had enough seemingly new additions to get me excited for it.

i honestly can't figure out what people expected from this game. can't some games just simply exist for the sake of being fun, without having to reinvent the wheel? i highly doubt thered be too many people upset if uncharted 3 was near identical to uncharted 2. people don't mind that all killzone 3 seems to add is a jet pack. why? because the games are fun.

reviewers don't complain about nintendos games, 90% of which are nothing but palate swaps. no reviewers complained that mario kart wii was almost totally recycled material. nobody will complain that the new donkey kong country is identical to the others.

i hate to sound like a crackdown apologist because i'm not. i'm just miffed at the hypocrisy and double standards in the review community. /rant
