Although the Beta period for Medal of Honor opened up on June 21st, I just finally got around to entering my code and downloading the Beta last night. I thought I would throw together some quick impressions of the game so far.
Pretty much. Its a solid game, but has nothing special or unique about it. Feels very much a run of the mill FPS.
I got a code from EA without preordering so I downloaded it. I thought it was fun but no more than the last 3 shooters I have played. I still have hope for the single player. Dont ask me why.
Like other people said nothing special. It reminds alot when Treyach made James Bond, it was very under polished version of COD (multiplayer wise) It looks like nothing going to challenge COD's close quarter shooting until Killzone comes out. I didn't want to buy Black Ops but just like World of War it will be a filler gap until Killzone 3
I would have been a good beta if there was chat, people die when they run on top of my grenade if I could play the other map instead of Kabul City all the time.I tried 50x to get in the other map and look what happens Kabul City.No destructiable elements except a small wall.Funny when the airstrikes come down bricks are flying everywheres but where the hell are they coming from if everything is in tact.lol.I know its a beta but I have a funny feeling the Dice doesnt want there BF franchise they have worked on for years to be overshadowed by the rebirth of MOH.I feel that maybe another developer should of did the MOH multiplayer.I felt like we where sold short on a multiplayer game.I love Dice for what they have done in the last few years but this comes up short of how well the developers truely are.I still have my fingers crossed that the finished Product is going to be AWSOME.But for the beta I wouldnt recommend it and to the xbox fanbase who have there panties in a knot your not missing anything. At least you have Blacklight tango down dam bastards.
Theres one map for each game mode Helmand Valley - Team Objective Kabul - Team Deathmath "I have a funny feeling the Dice doesnt want there BF franchise they have worked on for years to be overshadowed by the rebirth of MOH" i got the same feeling
Stick with Bad Company 2, it's a much better game.
so far, I absolutely agree with you this feels very much like a thrown together afterthought by DICE
*removes from Gamefly Queue*
*deletes Beta from PS3*
played for about 1 hr.....pretty bad... honestly there is nothing good I can even say about it... maybe the draw distance was ok, but thats about it...
Shit is the word that best describes MOH, Anybody with a PS3 who loves army games should get M.A.G, It's my game of the year and has yet to be beat.
Betas are for people to play a game free? Beta is to test bugs and issues. The game is solid but it has some gamebreaking bugs, and this why beta. I enjoy the beta, and I reported lots of bugs too. The game is solid and if they remove the bugs it will be one of the best fps
Other than the graphics (which can be forgivable, given it is beta), was that I felt like I was gliding when I moved across the map. After COD4, BC, and KZ2 it felt so odd to just be gliding when those games make you feel like you are running and moving rather than being pulled around the level on ice skates. Oh well, hopefully they take the data they get from the beta and makes some major improvements in time for the release of the game.
I think you nailed it with that, good call
it was horrible and i gave dice the proper lambasting in a survey they sent me about it.i dont want to expend any more energy talking about how bad it was because it was so bad.
Shucks, was looking forward to this.
i got an extra key for my friend but he got one already. who wants it?
