Konami Posts Healthy Q1 Financials

For the three months ended June 30, 2007, net revenue was up 5.2 percent on the same period last year to total 60.7 billion yen ($509.4 million). Operating income stood at 7.01 billion yen ($58.9 million), having risen 16.8 percent, and net income shot up 82.2 percent to 3.86 billion yen ($32.5 million).

Konami's Digital Entertainment division witnessed year on year net revenue growth of 8.6 percent to 34.8 billion yen ($292 million).
