NowGamer looks at some of the biggest and best loved PS2 series crying out for the HD treatment on PS3.
I'm suprised that ICO/SOTC wasn't on the list, that's number one on my list.
It's already confirmed :) I think these are ones that haven't been announced yet.
. Just looking at those news tags I already agree about Metal Gear Solid series & Onimusha series.
It would be Metal Gear Solid and Viewtiful Joe for me. I really loved TimeSplitters as well, but FPS has run its course with me. I don't know if I even want to see brand new FPS games, let alone remakes.
is kingdom hearts?
Team ICO is not in it? lol (no it's not confirmed) Also: Silent Hill !!!!
Me too, id love to play those as i never ever got to play them as i didnt have a PS2 last gen.
If a Grand Theft Auto Collection would be made, it would boost Sony's PS3's.
Killzone HD MGS Collection Socom Collection
GTA and Resident Evil HD remakes.
How well would GTA remakes sell? It would be brilliant :)
Or another R* classic: Smuglers Run Even better could be a new game, it still have a great potential
And ad multiplayer on then. lol
I see the chances of non-Sony published games getting the chance of nil in being remade. Don't get your hopes up. On the other hand, this should mean that both Jak and Ratchet series are a cert.
I would like to see SOCOM 2, the hell with the rest.
amen....SOCOM baby! since they refuse to do little more than make a hybrid shooter and put the name on the box these days
make a whole collection on Socom,#2 was the best for sure but i liked them all.
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Socom 2 Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas That would be INSANE!
It only dose HD ps2 classics!
I would love to see an HD remake of the GTA trilogy but in chronoligical order with added scenes to connect each game & story. And if possible give Claude a couple of lines, not like a full script just a few cheeky one liners here and there.
I would shit a brick if Kojima did a MGS / Zone of the Enders all on one Bluray Disk. Also, a HD remake of FFX would make the little fanboy in me curl up in fetal position
MGS and ZOE HD collection would really, really make me so happy. Its been on my wish list since Sony started remaking PS2 classics. I think Sony has hit a goldmine with these remakes.
What a great way to make money, remove backwards compatibility, polish up good games that are 10 years old and then charge people for it.
Charge people for a very low price on remastered PS2 masterpieces. Edit: Im not disagreeing cause its a great deal. Got GOW collection and it was worth it. Two great games on one disc for $40, can't thank Sony enough for making the effort.
The way of the world.. Same as classic cars. =/
Yeah, just like one day maybe you 360 heads will get a Mass Effect in Virtual Reality when the Xbox X comes out. In a few years or so. It could happen.
because when backwards compatatibility was being taken out, a lot of people said they were getting ps3 to play ps3 games and not ps2 games, and that if you want to play ps2 games just go pick up a ps2......and now that Sony is doing this, all of a sudden its the best thing ever. If only gamers around the world could put up a unified front.
LOL for some people i guess thats true but lots of poeple, like myself, never got to play those games at all so this awesome. Plus they add lots of new features and charge you a low price for multiple games on a single bluray. I would perfer this myself. But to each their own right?
Dude that add better graphics, multiple games, low prices of like 29.99 each and trophies to the game. Its pretty awesome value and I will be getting them.
I got a BC PS3 and I would rather play PS2 games on my PS2 connected via component cables to a SDTV. PS2 games look awful in HD. With the remastering, at least it will be in true HD which, for me at least, makes it almost like a new game.
Then start on the others
why does noone ever mention Xenosaga and the Legacy of Kain series, those were really well good series
They were incredible games, but I'm not sure if they'd have the following to warrant the HD treatment sadly :(
