M2G Writes: Sony Worldwide Studios VP Scott Rohde has said that Sony is confident about its current position in the console race.
A sci-fi JRPG at that. Or a mech combat game. With booze! And hookers! on second thought, forget the hookers!
This guy hasn't done anything for PS3. Let me remind you Uncharted, Killzone, Infamous, Resistance, Ratchet, Motorstorm, God of War, etc are all project supported by Phil Harrison who was president of WWS back then. So he picked them and supported them, this guy hasn't done anything other then leach on those IPs and cutting some of Phil's projects like 8 Days and Getaway (i know those are "on hold" but if Phil stayed on that position they would be out by now) in favore of EyePet and Invizimals, and those core IPs are thsoe we know about who knows what was cut behind close doors in favore of casual games. Sorry but giving that position to Japanese guy who doesn't understand what we westerners like was huge mistake.
i wish Sony could get Phil again.
i would't say hit it's stride but from whats to come it looks like its gearing up nice for the home straight
forget the Hookers? Blasphemy!!!
a new exclusive rpg would be nice.
Chevy disagrees. Really?
when an article starts with. (insert game company): says something positive about their product. i take it with a giant grain of salt.
Better to just let their products do the talking, since my console doesn't play PR stuff.
they are just trying to push their wares, and like you wrote its pr.
reaches mass market price of $199. The PS3 sales will go into overdrive.
Maybe we'll get more exclusive Japanese games. The success of the 360 has unfortunately made J-Devs lose focus. They've tried catering to Western tastes and it has backfired on them. It is really amazing how the PS3 coming on 4 years lacks Japanese exclusives compared to last gen. There have been and are some more good ones coming out soon but want more of a selection.
At $200, Pretty Much what Happened with The PS2 will happen Again with The PS3...
Sony guy says positive PS3 stuff!
a few hours ago : http://n4g.com/news/552722/... Duplicate?
in april in US x360 barely outsell ps3 by 5k with splinter cell . not good for micro
Sorry thought this was a Sony article, what does Microsoft have to do with it? F*ck off kthxbye.
Matt, are you stupid?
Depends on how well Move does. I'm extremely excited for Move though! I hope other people will be too, once they get to experience it.
the future is looking brighter for ps3....hopefully they don't fail
People can't underestimate the power of PlayStation...... seriously developers needed time to learn how to program etc.. on the PlayStation 3. valve is a great example they took years to get the hang of it. although i thought the orange box was really good on the ps3 no updates but no bugs. xbox right now is rushing and trying to eat to much since the PlayStation is just dominating the market for xbox vs ps3
See, nobody can say that N4G is the land of Sony as we criticise them when we feel they're not using their potential to the max. I obviously prefer Phil Harrison but I'd give Yoshida some time. Wait, who's in charge of the Worldwide studios? Yoshida or Scott Rhode?
i belive yoshida is scott is vp
Did any of you read the article? because it's obvious none of you did.
