I understand that it could work for other things with HDMI, but when are you supposed to use this?

When traveling? The 360 or whatever is still big and needs a power source.

Anyone who has a console and a overpriced Macbook, can probably afford a 200$ LCD monitor at the least.

Whats the point of putting a 1080P source on a higher rez monitor if it doesnt upscale. Especially when he said it DOWNGRADES a 1080P signal to 720P. No matter how great you monitor is, watching a bluray in 720p will look worse then a bluray in 1080P.

Basically, this thing is pointless.
