Sid Shuman posted announced on the Playstation Blog that they will be giving out Medal of Honor beta codes via Twitter.
Been trying to play the beta... All I need now is that patch.. to fix the freezing problem
Honestly, don't play the beta or stress out about trying to obtain it. It's horrible. And you are constantly hard-resetting your PS3 because the morons at EA/DICE thought it'd be cool to release a product that can't even work properly. Like most lazy developers they rely on patches to fix the game "down the line" instead of taking the time to release a proper product. And none of that "it's only a beta" nonsense either. How much does a beta change in comparison to the final game? Not many developers use a beta properly. Bungie is the only one I have seen that takes it seriously enough. The BC2 beta was far more polished and superior. When BC2 released it was pretty similar to the beta overall, tweaks were made, glitches were ironed out, but the game was the same. And trust me, MoH is terrible. We also know how bad freezing the PS3 is. I can't imagine how many times my heart has stopped when I hear those 3 beeps. I have a friend who got YLOD like 3 days ago. It could have been anything but he did say he hard-resetted the PS3 2-3 times after playing the crappy beta. Just some advice-- you aren't missing anything. It's another crappy shooter. Play BC2 or even MW2 instead. @zootang You are lucky. I'd make the simplest move, like getting a kill, or knifing a guy, and it freezes on me. Oh well, guess it's personal experience but I've heard a lot of complaints about the freezing. Just giving a warning to everybody. I'm a little paranoid after hearing about a friend get YLOD.
It hasn't froze on me once. I am only 3 hours in though.
I haven't tried to play it in about 5 days but it was freezing up in about 80 percent of the games for me.

Yes, the freezing problem is just ridiculous. But I'm pretty sure EA/DICE are trying to figure out a fix, and I do think that they will fix the game before release. Alpha, I think you're being way to harsh. You can't call devs who release pathces lazy. Thats the stupidest argument I've ever heard. We're all human, nobody's perfect. They can't foresee every bug. Sometimes when the bug arises, its the most frustrating feeling in the world because you're already working a tight schedule to finish the game, and now you have this problem arise. In fact the devs who release patches are the exact opposite of lazy... in most cases, they aren't required to release the patches, but they do, because the patches include stuff they wanted to fix, but just didn't have enough time to do so.
I played this last night on PS3 no freezing, but when you get killed it doesn't feel fluid, like it freezes for a split second then cuts to a video. Other than that, the game feels solid, the weapons have a nice weight to them. It's a very fun beta. Plus it was nice seeing Helmand in a game. I been there for real and it's a very hostile providence.
But...it's just a beta. Seriously. They haven't technically "released" anything yet. They've given a handful of gamers access to their alpha/beta code so they can help (are you ready for this?) get the bugs out. This is millions of lines of code...of course there are going to be bugs. This is still 4 months out from its release date. And lighten up, man...it's a free beta, it's not like you paid for it.
I have been in a bunch of betas (ps3 and 360) and none have frozen up like moh. I haven't played since the first couple days... oh yeah... The game isn't that impressive anyways. I have already played this game (bc2).
The people who get the codes are going to be extremely pissed unless EA puts a patch out pretty quick. I'm so sick of having to work around the freezing issues, before I found a way my PS3 froze at least 25 times and that is never good for any console. EDIT: Yea I always have to adjust my screen and settings every time I boot it up, its really annoying. I think its just people with HD TV's that are having a problem with the screen cut off, SDTV users say they have no problems.
And it doesn't save my settings. And the image is out of borders on my Sony TV. I got my code, from that "Lion guy", who told about that awesome backdoor, or what it was.
I really want to get my hands on a beta code...too bad they block Twitter at work :|
Just pre-order the game from Amazon for free, get the beta code and use it, cancel your pre-order. Simple as that. EDIT: Yea shortly after you pre-order they will email you the code, take it to medalofhonor.com/beta type it in, select PS3 (or wait for the Xbox version) then select your region and they will give you a code to type in on the marketplace.
They just e-mail you the code, or what?
Play 5 minuttes. CRASH. Press powerbutton on ps3. Play for 5 mins again. CRASH. Give up. (PS3)
Seems to freeze on me whenever I try to check the scoreboard or try to bring up the ingame XMB. Other than that, it plays pretty decent. Heard a patch is coming soon.
Well, that's what betas are for, right? Fix all this before the release...
