Last year, developer Nitro Games launched what they called "a series of trading and war games" - East India Company was the first in this series, and it gave players the chance to lead their own maritime empires in the 17th century European trade wars. It was received positively by most for its clever mix of traditional strategy and real-time naval combat.
This year, Nitro Games are back with their second installment in the series, Commander: Conquest of the Americas. Dubbed the spiritual successor to East India Company, Commander is set during the 16th century, and will take many of the first game's features and expand them, giving players a host of new tactics in their quest to dominate the New World.
Today Paradox Interactive announced that it's parting ways with its subsidiary studio Harebrained Schemes effective January 1, 2024.
